A horrifying plot has been uncovered by the FBI that involved a plan to overthrow the government and kidnap the governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer.

The Detroit News reported, “Federal agents said Thursday they thwarted a plot to violently overthrow the government and kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that included visits to her home in northern Michigan and training with explosive devices.

The alleged plot involved conspirators who met during a Second Amendment rally at the Capitol in Lansing in June and reached out to members of a Michigan militia known as the Wolverine Watchmen for reinforcements, according to state and federal officials.

The court filing alleges the conspirators twice conducted surveillance at Whitmer’s personal vacation home in northern Michigan and discussed kidnapping her to a ‘secure location’ in Wisconsin to stand ‘trial’ for treason prior to the Nov. 3 election.”

There is absolutely no justification for this sort of depraved act, regardless of what you think of Whitmer’s politics. I am grateful to law enforcement in Michigan for doing their job and keeping Governor Whitmer and her family safe.

The people who allegedly plotted this coup are lowlife trash and they deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

However, everything is political now, and so instead of simply graciously thanking law enforcement and trying to unite her state, Governor Whitmer took a shot at…wait for it…the Big Bad Orange Man.

I’m not kidding. She actually blamed President Trump for the attempt on her life. Literally everything is Trump’s fault according to a Liberal. Whitmer blamed Trump’s supposed failure to condemn white supremacists for the treasonous plot.

He has condemned white supremacy several times, but the Liberals and their media allies won’t let go of this talking point. They trotted it out again following the first presidential debate when Trump didn’t answer a question on the topic to their satisfaction, and they took his response way out of context. That’s what they do. It’s all about the almighty narrative with them.

Liberals continue to lie about Trump’s “very fine people” comment following the white nationalist killing in Charlottesville Virginia back in 2017.

Here is the full quote in context:

“You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. … I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name. … So you know what, it’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people — and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally — but you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. OK? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people. But you also had troublemakers, and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats. You had a lot of bad people in the other group.”

That sound you heard was the liberal narrative crumbling apart.

NBC 25 in Michigan reported that “Whitmer also citing how President Donald Trump has refused to condemn white supremacists – like the groups that allegedly plotted against the governor and Michigan government. Whitmer said the hate groups and militias heard the President’s words as a rallying cry.”

My prayers are with the Whitmer family. Congratulations on a job well done to the law enforcement officers who stopped the heinous plot. I just wish Governor Whitmer wouldn’t have pivoted to a vile and unjustified attack on President Trump. It was beneath the title she holds.

Michiganders deserve better than that.
