For YEARS now, we’ve been having to deal with the fallout of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his decision to kneel during the National Anthem.

The first time Kaepernick was “caught” on camera not standing for the National Anthem, he wasn’t actually kneeling…

He was just sitting on a bench.

Now, that’s PECULIAR timing, given that Kaepernick decided to start “protesting” the National Anthem the SAME week he was benched by his team for poor play…

VERY peculiar.

And again, the camera didn’t catch him kneeling – it caught him sitting and pouting about the fact that he was benched. He didn’t have the demeanor of somebody standing up for equality…

He had the demeanor of a former superstar athlete with a broken ego, nothing more.

Why Did The Left Take The Bait?

But somehow…

He was able to snow everybody… well, everybody on the Left.

Most people on the Right could see right through his scam as easily as we could tell that Obama was trying to make the United States subservient to the rest of the world…

And if we’re going to call out the president of the United States – you can bet your bottom dollar that we’re going to call out some spoiled and entitled professional athlete.

He was being a crybaby…

And needed to come up with some lie (make no mistake, that’s what it was) in order to make him seem like less of the entitled brat than he is.

And man oh man did the Left buy that up…

Which is just amazing. Before this happened, Kaepernick never once said a word about inequality or justice. He was happy to play football…

And when that gift was taken away from him and he got caught pouting, he did what a Leftist does when they get caught being a less-than optimal-human being – he made up a lie to get out of it.

Once A Spoiled Brat, ALWAYS A Spoiled Brat

For the past couple of years, we haven’t had to deal with him as much…

Except when Nike decided to make him the face of their “Take A Stand” campaign…

And when he opened his big fat yapper about the “Betsy Ross” shoes that Nike was planning to put out but didn’t thanks to him saying that the flag represented slavery.

So, after a few years away from football, the NFL decided to give him another chance…

So they set up a workout for him, inviting media members and recruiters from several NFL teams – and like the spoiled athlete he is, Kaepernick decided to NOT show up. Instead, he spat in their face by holding his own private workout 60 miles away and by wearing a Kunta Kinte shirt, basically equating himself to a slave oppressed by the “owners” of the NFL.

Of course, like his last few games as the starter for the San Francisco 49’s, he had a less than stellar performance – especially when you take into account he was throwing to guys not being covered by defenders.

He should have had a close to 100% completion rate… he didn’t.

One reporter that was there said, “My takeaways from the live feed: more casual than most pro days, arm strength absolutely there, solid mobility on rollouts, timing with WRs understandably not consistently good.”

Did we mention he brought in his OWN guys to throw to?

Yeah…

So it’s understandable that a week after the workout, not ONE team has contacted him.

Not a single one.

Of course, Kaepernick is still cocky…

After completing the workout – he talked to reporters and said he was ready for another opportunity and wants the league to “stop running” from him.

Here’s the thing, Kaep…

They’re not running from you because they’re afraid of your politics – if there is ANYTHING the NFL has proven over the years, it’s that, if you have talent, they will often turn the other way when you’re doing something they don’t agree with.

IF you had talent (and that’s a big if)…

They would be RUNNING to sign you, as you would bring all kinds of attention to whatever team decided to sign you.

But they aren’t…

Not because they’re afraid of you or the distraction your kind brings – they’re afraid that if they sign you, they’re signing a mediocre player at best.

And mediocrity isn’t something they’re shooting for.

So, the Left can continue to put Kaepernick up on a pedestal as some kind of Marley-esque figure – they can act like he was run out of the league for his stance on politics…

But we all know the truth.

When it comes to football as in life, it’s about substance…

And Colin Kaepernick doesn’t have any.
