The winner of the Joe Biden VP sweepstakes is…Senator Kamala Harris.

That slightly-more-radical version of Hillary Clinton is now going to be Biden’s running mate.

On Tuesday, Biden tweeted the news: “I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.”

The Trump campaign must be salivating at the thought of Kamala Harris on the opposing ticket. President Trump will now have ample material to work with to attack both Biden and his Number Two. Senator Harris is a far-Left radical with an authoritarian streak to her. She is a career politician who has manipulated her way to the top, and she’s stepped on a lot of people to get there.

Biden’s selection of a VP candidate is more important than most VP selections in the past because 59% of Americans believe that Biden will never finish out a full term as president due to his declining health. Even Biden himself has suggested as much, once joking “Hey, I’m an old guy.” So, essentially, Biden was selecting the real presidential candidate in the form of Kamala Harris. A vote for Joe Biden is a vote for his VP, and this may put the country in a very precarious position.

Biden and Harris haven’t always been the best of friends, as evidenced by a debate early in the Democrat primary campaign. Following last summer’s heated debate, USA Today reported, “Harris cited Biden’s fight against school busing and told the story of a young California girl who was part of the second class to integrate her school.

‘That little girl is me,’ she said.

Biden watched stone-faced as Harris attacked him. When he got his chance to speak, he fired back at Harris, calling her criticism a ‘mischaracterization.’

Biden also appeared to criticize Harris for being a prosecutor.

‘I was a public defender,’ Biden told Harris. ‘I didn’t become a prosecutor.’

Biden argued he didn’t oppose busing but rather opposed the federal implementation of that policy.

‘I did not oppose busing in America,’ Biden said. ‘I opposed busing by the Department of Education.’”

However, Kamala Harris was good friends with Joe Biden’s late son Beau, and that may have helped to ease the tensions between the two politicians. With Harris cemented as Biden’s right-hand woman, their campaign trail conflicts seem to be water under the bridge.

Kamala Harris also checks all the intersectional boxes that the Liberal base loves. The Washington Post reported, “Harris is the daughter of immigrants. Her late mother was a breast cancer researcher from India. Her father is an emeritus professor of economics at Stanford University from Jamaica. They divorced when Harris was seven years old. Harris graduated from Howard University, where her identity as an African American woman was cemented.”

Make no mistake: Kamala Harris is a radical Leftist. She is anti-Second Amendment and favors a blanket assault weapons ban, universal background checks, removal of gun manufacturers licenses, and an attempt to close the loophole that allows some domestic abusers to purchase guns if their victim is a wedded partner.

In 2018, Harris extensively praised Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser Christine Blasey-Ford when she went public with her rape accusations. Time Magazine named Christine Blasey-Ford as one of their “100 most influential people.” Apparently, if you ruin a good man’s reputation, you are celebrated for it on the cover of Time Magazine. As part of that issue, Kamala Harris wrote a short celebratory piece about Ford:

“Her story, spoken while holding back tears, shook Washington and the country. Her courage, in the face of those who wished to silence her, galvanized Americans. And her unfathomable sacrifice, out of a sense of civic duty, shined a spotlight on the way we treat survivors of sexual violence.”

When Blasey-Ford’s case fell apart, Harris remained largely silent. She has also neglected to significantly comment on the ongoing rape allegations against Joe Biden by former Senate staffer Tara Reade.

Harris also proposed during her presidential run that companies be mandated to pay women the same wages as men, completely disregarding the multitude of reasons for those pay disparities. Huffington Post reported, “Under Harris’s plan, companies would be required to obtain an ‘equal pay certification’ from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to prove they pay women equally. They would be required to disclose whether they received that certification on their website’s homepage and to prospective employees.”

How exactly would the employers prove this?

Answer: “To meet certification requirements, companies would have to demonstrate they have eliminated pay disparities between women and men who are doing work of equal value, per Harris’ campaign. To the extent pay disparities do exist for similar jobs, companies will be required to show the gap is based on merit, performance, or seniority—not gender.”

The plan is based on a faulty premise perpetuated by the Left. The largely-debunked wage gap myth continues to shape proposed policies despite its many flaws.

If you are a Trump supporter, this selection was an excellent pick by Biden because Harris is so unlikeable and radical and she will be easy for President Trump and his campaign to attack.

Good pick, Joe!
