Typical fascist tactics
Carlson made controversial comments on a shock-jock radio show called “Bubba Love Sponge.”
Carlson downplayed the crimes of a cult leader — calling women “extremely primitive” — he said he felt “sorry for unattractive women,” and called a woman a “pig.”
Carlson said he was being sarcastic and was trying to be funny. He claims to not believe the things he said.
The comments weren’t Carlson’s best moments, however, that doesn’t make it worth him being fired.
Carlson was targeted by a left-wing media hit job organization, Media Matters.
Media Matters was founded by people connected with the Clintons, during the administration of Bill Clinton.
It is funded by the likes of George Soros.
These losers sit in their basements eating chips, drinking Red Bull and watching Fox News all day to find something controversial that a host might say.
They then summon their sheep activists to call the advertisers to ask them to boycott the controversial hosts show.
This is the same tired playbook from the left.
They have been doing it for years.
They targeted Rush Limbaugh in 2012 for calling Sandra Fluke a “slut.” Fluke was a college student who testified in front of Congress that she couldn’t afford her birth control. She needed the
American taxpayers to fund her sex life. Rush was just pointing out the obvious absurdity of her testimony.
Media Matters and the Left went after Rush’s advertisers, calling them to boycott him. They used the comment as an excuse to gin up outrage and eliminate a political opponent.
Typical fascist tactics.
In 2009, left-wing trolls went after Glenn Beck for calling Barack Obama a “racist.”
Media Matters deployed their sheep to contact his advertisers. They successfully were able to get many of his advertisers to pull their ads from his show.
Sean Hannity was targeted three times in 2017 alone by Media Matters. The group didn’t like how he covered the Charlottesville riots, and wanting to give Senate candidate Roy Moore the benefit of the doubt about accusations of sexual misconduct.
Fortunately, all three conservative icons are still on the air.
The left-wing outrage machine was unsuccessful.
On his show last night, Carlson held firm.
He told his audience:
For now, just two points to leave you with. First, Fox News is behind us, as they have been since the very first day. Toughness is a rare quality in a TV network, and we are grateful for that. Second, we’ve always apologized when we’re wrong, and will continue to do that. That’s what decent people do. They apologize. But we will never bow to the mob. Ever. No matter what.
It’s refreshing to see a public figure not back down and apologize when the left-wing outrage machine targets someone because they are triggered.
These are the tactics of fascists.
Silencing your political opponents and appealing to the hate mob to do so is dangerous. History has proven this time and time again.
It’s good to see people like Carlson stand up to them and not back down.
Keep it up Tucker, we got your back!
