While the Wisconsin governor doesn’t exactly deserve the help, President Trump has vowed to rebuild Kenosha, Wisconsin after anarchists completely ravaged the city in the name of “Black Lives Matter.”

During a roundtable meeting with local police on Tuesday, the president announced he is providing nearly $50 million dollars in relief to both Kenosha and the state of Wisconsin in general.

Trump’s unexpected move comes just days after Governor Tony Evers reluctantly accepted the president’s offer of federal assistance and a substantially increased National Guard presence to restore the peace.

The president said he is “providing nearly $4 million to support the small businesses that I talked about today that got burned up, burned down,” in the city of Kenosha.

Additionally, “we’re going to be providing over $42 million to support public safety statewide, including direct support for law enforcement and funding for additional prosecutors to punish criminals, and resources to provide services to victims of crime,” the president pledged.

This includes $1 million that will be allocated toward building up local law enforcement because “we must give far greater support to our law enforcement, it’s all about giving them additional support, these are great people,” he said during the roundtable.

Trump also described that what happened in Kenosha in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake were “not acts of peaceful protests,” and were in fact “really domestic terror.” The president announced that his “administration coordinated with the state and local authorities to very, very swiftly deploy the National Guard and federal law enforcement to Kenosha to stop the violence.”

Trump’s promises to help restore what was lost due to the looting and burning came during his visit to assess the destruction caused by rioters.

The level of damage that happened in Wisconsin within just a few short days is shocking. At least Governor Evers had the sense to know when to set politics aside. Had he not accepted Trump’s offer for help when he did, who knows what state Kenosha would be in today, especially after the Kyle Rittenhouse incident.

Perhaps Trump’s announcement to provide tens of millions in relief to Wisconsin is somewhat of a reward for allowing federal law enforcement to step in, but also a message to Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler. Unlike Evers, Wheeler has repeatedly rejected Trump’s offers to send in federal police to restore the peace, despite how his city has endured almost nightly riots for months ever since George Floyd died in May.

But rather than establishing law and order, Wheeler is too busy playing politics to be concerned with the safety of Portland’s residents or rebuilding the city.

The truth is radical Left Democrats have left Americans behind. They have no care in the world about what happens to their constituents unless it’s time to vote. Otherwise, it’s all about power for them. The further Left they go, the more points they win in the party. The more favor they gain with the radical Left, the more influence and power they are given. We’ve seen this over and over again on the Left with politicians and cultural icons alike.

But they have all become so power-hungry that they are completely out of touch with everyday Americans, which will ultimately be their downfall.

But thanks to the efforts of leaders like President Trump, they won’t take the rest of us down with them.
