Do you remember when the Left was freaking out about Trump and the possibility of him having the codes to the “nuclear football?”
At the height of that panic, Hillary Clinton even said, “This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes. It’s not hard to imagine Donald Trump leading us into a war just because somebody got under his very thin skin.”
They thought for SURE that Trump would do something stupid and somehow get us into a war with a foreign power, whether it be a ground war, a nuclear war, or otherwise.
But that just hasn’t happened.
In fact, Trump has done the OPPOSITE of causing war, as he’s brought more troops home to the US than the past two presidents combined.
Because he feels the same way about our military as many Americans do: we are not the world’s police force.
Trump’s Commitment To Peace
It is not our job to protect each and every citizen of the world from the ravages of tyrants and religious zealots.
Sure, our presence is needed in many of those places that are considered “hotspots,” but to have troops in every country just for the sake of having a military presence there or fighting in wars that will NEVER end just doesn’t make sense.
Trump pulled troops out of Afghanistan and Syria because their job there was either finished or would NEVER be finished. He brought those men and women home at long last, just like he promised.
Of course, what happened between America and Iran at the beginning of 2020 had a lot of people on edge, but he was definitely justified in taking out Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, a man responsible for hundreds of American lives. Soleimani was also the mastermind behind the attempted raid of the American Embassy in Iraq a few days earlier, making him an exigent threat to American security.
Iran retaliated, but it was a weak attempt that left our boys with some headaches and nothing too severe.
What reveals even MORE about Trump’s commitment to peace was when Iran shot down one of our drones, an act for which the President declined to retaliate.
At the end of the day, he wasn’t willing to trade human life for an automated aircraft.
However, since then, Trump has done so much more for peace that he may go down in history as the most peace-oriented president in modern times.
Trump: The Bringer Of Peace!
Think about this: over the past three-going-on-four years, Trump has brought peace (not a signed treaty, but an accord) to the Korean peninsula, something no other president has been able to do since the war.
His administration has brokered peace between Israel and the Muslim countries of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
And, just recently, his administration has brokered peace between Israel and the Muslim-led country of Sudan.
This is completely unprecedented, not just for an American president, but for anyone to foster a lasting peace between Jews and Muslims.
However, nobody is talking about it…
They want to discount his accomplishments so badly that, instead of handing him the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in bringing about peace, they gave it to the United Nations Food Program.
The Nobel Peace Prize 2020 was awarded to World Food Program (WFP) “for its efforts to combat hunger, for its contribution to bettering conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas and for acting as a driving force in efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict.”
Meanwhile, Trump is bringing ACTUAL peace to one of the most volatile regions of the world.
Does that make sense? Of course not…
But that doesn’t mean that this peace ISN’T important. In fact, this more so than the booming American economy will be Trump’s legacy.
And more importantly, it’s a legacy that the Left can’t touch. They can try to undo it, but Trump will ALWAYS be the president that brought peace to the Middle East…
And that will stick in the craw of EVERY Liberal this side of the Mississippi.
At least we can take solace in that…
