CNN recently conducted a poll of likely voters in swing states, and the results may have left a bitter taste in the network’s mouth. According to the poll’s results, President Trump is leading Joe Biden in 15 of the crucial swing states. That must have hurt the Clinton News Network’s pride quite a bit. They had to report that their OWN poll showed that Trump is performing strongly despite their endless negative coverage.
The network reported, “Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden‘s lead over President Donald Trump now stands at five points, but Trump has an edge in the critical battleground states that could decide the Electoral College, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.
In the new poll, 51% of registered voters nationwide back Biden, while 46% say they prefer Trump, while in the battlegrounds, 52% favor Trump and 45% Biden.”
In our constitutional system, the winner of the Electoral College becomes president, so national polls are pointless, especially this early on. Hillary Clinton had more votes nationwide in 2016, but she isn’t sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, is she?
The CNN report continued: “The two are close among independents (50% back Trump, 46% Biden, not a large enough difference to be considered a lead), but Biden’s edge currently rests on the larger share of voters who identify as Democrats.
The former vice president continues to hold healthy leads among women (55% Biden to 41% Trump) and people of color (69% Biden to 26% Trump). The two run more closely among men (50% Trump to 46% Biden) and the President holds a clear edge among whites (55% Trump to 43% Biden). The poll suggests Biden outpaces Trump among voters over age 45 by a 6-point margin, while the two are near even among those under age 45 (49% Biden to 46% Trump).
Trump’s biggest advantage over Biden in the poll comes on his handling of the economy. Most voters, 54%, say they trust the President to better handle the nation’s economy, while 42% say they prefer Biden…
Voters divide over which of the two has the stamina and sharpness to be president (49% say Trump, 46% Biden), a frequent attack Trump levels against the former vice president.”
My question is how is Trump only leading by three points in a poll of who has better stamina and sharpness? Have any of the people that were polled seen Joe Biden speak from his Delaware basement lately? It’s embarrassing. He clearly doesn’t have the mental faculties to be president of the United States. He mumbles through interviews and can’t recall basic information like who the last president was. Hint: It was Barack Obama and Joe was his vice president. I didn’t make this up. The man literally couldn’t summon the mental capacity to recall Obama’s name.
Trump is about to unleash hell on Biden once the campaign resumes in earnest, and there is no way Biden will be able to withstand Trump’s onslaught. I would be shocked if the polls didn’t tilt heavily in Trump’s favor by October when the spotlight shifts from the coronavirus pandemic to the general election campaign. Trump’s campaign is ready to expose all of Biden’s deficiencies, and they have plenty of material to work with.
This won’t be the last poll that CNN will report showing Trump beating Biden and it’s going to drive them mad by election day.
