Whether it be at the national or state level, Democrat lawmakers like to spend other people’s money. Regardless of whether it’s tax dollars wasted on a big government program or on just hoarded for themselves, they’re always hungry for more money. The likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib have all had their issues with illegally spending money not meant for them, and now a Democrat State Senator in Tennessee is putting them to shame.

The “Squad” members look like Girl Scouts compared to Tennessee State Senator Katrina Robinson, who is being accused by the FBI of spending $600,000 of federal money earmarked for a health care company to pay for her private life. So glad our she used our taxpayer dollars so wisely.

Yahoo News reported the following:

“A Tennessee state senator has been charged with stealing more than $600,000 in federal funds received by a health care company she directed and using the money to pay for her wedding and other personal expenses, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

A criminal complaint unsealed Wednesday charges state Sen. Katrina Robinson with theft and embezzlement involving government programs and wire fraud, US Attorney D. Michael Dunavant said in a news release.

Robinson, a Democrat elected to the General Assembly in 2018 from a Memphis district, is also the director of The Healthcare Institute, which provides training for jobs in the health care field, prosecutors said.

The Memphis-based school received more than $2.2 million in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

From 2015 through 2019, Robinson stole more than $600,000 and used it to pay for her wedding and honeymoon, a 2016 Jeep Renegade for her daughter, travel and entertainment for her family, and an event for her state Senate campaign, prosecutors said. She also used the money to pay for legal fees for her divorce, home improvements and a snow cone business operated by her children, prosecutors said.

In a statement, the Senate Democratic Caucus said Robinson’s work in the state Legislature “is not in question” and she “deserves the presumption of innocence and due process.”

Of course, now the Democrats are arguing for due process. Amazing how when it comes to people like Justice Brett Kavanaugh, due process goes out the door.

Senator Robinson isn’t the only Democrat in the country accused of spending other people’s money on their divorce.

Representative Ilhan Omar is being investigated by the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board for alleged campaign finance violations.

Oops…

Minnesota State Representative, Steve Drazkowski, referred Omar to the Campaign Finance Board, alleging she spent close to $6,000 in campaign funds for personal use.

Rep. Omar is being accused of spending the money to pay for a trip to Boston and Estonia.

I wasn’t aware that Estonia was in her district. Eastern Europe is a long way from Minnesota.

If that wasn’t bad enough, she has been accused of spending campaign funds to pay for her divorce.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has had similar accusations made against her. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s boyfriend may have received illegal payments from her campaign. Her boyfriend did some digital marketing work for her campaign. Instead of the campaign paying him directly, they paid through a third-party — her PAC.

If it was legal, then why not just pay him directly? What do they have to hide?

Looks like Cortez and her posse may have had a little racketeering crime operation shop set up at Cortez Campaign Headquarters.

I am sure the mainstream media will report vigorously on AOC’s alleged election finance violations as they have about President Trump’s alleged violations.

Probably not.

Then there is Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib. The House Ethics Committee has been investigating ethics violations that Tlaib is said to have committed.

Fox News reported, “The House Ethics Committee on Thursday released a trove of striking internal campaign communications sent in 2018 by Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib, in which Tlaib urgently requested money from her congressional campaign to defray personal expenses and, a government watchdog said, possibly violated federal law in the process.”

Oops, that doesn’t look good for Rashida.

In an email, Tlaib revealed the desperate state of her personal finances and sought funds from her campaign for her personal use.

She wrote, “[I] am struggling financially right now and sinking. So I was thinking the campaign could loan me money…I was thinking a one-time payment of $5K.”

In another email she wrote, “With the loss of a second income to lean back on, I am requesting $2,000 per two weeks but not exceeding $12,000. The cost of living stipend is going towards much-needed expenses due to campaigning that includes car maintenance, childcare, and other necessities. Please let me know if I can proceed.”

Despite these alarming allegations, I have yet to see vigorous reporting on these cases. Imagine if they were Republican women. I think suddenly the reporters would regain their ambition to do actual journalism…just a hunch.

But while journalists sit idly by and corrupt politicians line their pockets, the taxpaying citizens are left to suffer from their exploitation.
