In Florida, the last gubernatorial race came down to two individuals…

Ron DeSantis and Andrew Gillum.

When the dust settled and smoke cleared—and believe me, there was a LOT of dust and smoke—DeSantis was declared the 46th governor of the Sunshine State.

Gillum refused to concede—but after the recount, he had no choice but to stop fighting the inevitable…

That decision clearly took its toll, seeing as Gillum was recently found drunk in a Miami Beach hotel room in the company of a male escort who was in the process of overdosing on methamphetamine. After this seeming moment of clarity, Gillum has decided to stop fighting his demons alone and entered into rehab.

Sure, we wish him the best, but man…

Floridians dodged a bullet with that one, didn’t they?

Luckily, the people of Florida used their heads and voted for the conservative DeSantis—and so far it’s proven to be a solid choice.

DeSantis has done a STELLAR job as governor…

So good, in fact, that even Liberals have praised his policies and actions.

He’s quickly earning the trust of the Left—probably because he doesn’t have a mainstream media breathing down his neck and accusing him of wrongdoing at every turn…

That’s just Trump’s cross to bear.

DeSantis Is KILLING It In Florida

DeSantis’ report card so far has him looking like a superstar. From his handling of Florida waterways to his decisiveness with Hurricane Dorian, he’s been exceeding expectations, and his approval rating is one of the highest of all current governors.

And it looks like he wants to keep that approval-rating going with how he’s choosing to battle the coronavirus pandemic.

He’s taken the initiative to shut down schools for at least a month and has also shut down all bars and nightclubs for the next 30 days…

He IS keeping the beaches open for now – which is good, since denying Floridians access to the ocean would just be compounding the suffering even further.

However…

That isn’t what’s going to keep the governor’s approval numbers up (though it won’t hurt).

No…

The thing that’s going to make people happy is the fact that he’s set aside $50 million for small business (those with between one and two hundred employees) to borrow interest-free for a year while they try to make it through the coronavirus shutdown.

This is HUGE…

And it could save business owners a LOT of headaches and heartaches as they try to recoup the losses that this nationwide shutdown is going to bring.

Why This Is A Smart Move

He wants these companies to STAY in business during this forced vacation and get back to business as usual as quickly as possible once it ends. This loan program will do just that…

Especially for those businesses that are being heavily impacted by the novel coronavirus, like the aforementioned bars and restaurants.

Not only that…

But Governor DeSantis also directed the state Department of Revenue to extend deadlines for businesses to pay their taxes – another boon to small business owners who have that tax date looming over them.

In a statement, the Governor said, “If you are in some of these industries that are really getting hit, you have a cash flow issue, particularly if you have tight margins. So, this is a way to kind of keep people afloat.”

Yes…

It is.

If DeSantis keeps hitting home runs like this, you can expect him to EASILY win re-election in 2022.

Unless the world ends…

And the way things are headed, you never know when that might be!
