Jen Psaki probably has the toughest job in all of Washington.

I mean, can you imagine having to defend Joe Biden on a daily basis?

Sure, Trump’s press secretaries didn’t have it easy, but it wasn’t Trump’s polices or decisions that made it difficult for them. They just had to fend off the attacks from grandstanding Leftist media. They weren’t defending incompetence in the Oval Office…but that seems to be the only thing that Jen Psaki does.

One of the weirdest parts of her job has to be the constant need to example why Biden doesn’t take questions from reporters.

Of course, those of us at home all know why.

`When Joe Biden goes off script, he tends to say the quiet part of the Left’s agenda out loud, putting everyone else on his team in precarious positions as they have to bob and weave their way out of the inadvertent trap he laid for them.

But coming up with excuses for why he doesn’t take questions is like watching a person with no rhythm being forced to dance. It’s just awkward.

We saw this dance being performed during the aftermath of the latest meeting between Sleepy Joe and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday.

When the meeting concluded, Johnson started calling on press members to ask questions…but Biden refused to answer any.

Why Is Biden So Closed Off?

It was so obvious that The White House press pool filed a formal complaint against Biden yesterday after he refused to take questions from American reporters while Johnson took questions from British reporters.

So, what explanation did Psaki give for Biden refusing to take questions?

Well, if you’re to go off HER answer, it was all Boris Johnson’s fault.

CBS correspondent Ed O’Keefe asked “Circle Back” about her understanding of why “the British Prime Minister in the American Oval Office called on British reporter, and then when American reporters tried to call on the American president, we were escorted out.”

Her awkward response was a typical repetition of what she’s had to say in the past about Biden’s refusal to talk to reporters…

“Well, I think in that circumstance, and I think our relationship with the United Kingdom and with Prime Minister Johnson is so strong and abiding we will be able to move forward beyond this but he called on individuals from his press corps without alerting us to that intention in advance.”

Ahhhhh, there it is…

Because the Prime Minister’s office didn’t inform them they would be taking questions, that means that Biden couldn’t take questions from American reporters?

Isn’t that the most ridiculous excuse you’ve ever heard?

If Biden was competent, instead of ushering the press pool out when they started asking questions, he would have started taking them off-the-cuff, just like Johnson did.

But Joe Biden ISN’T competent. He’s barely hanging on by a thread…

And it’s evident to all who have seen him speak.

“The Key Tenet To A Flourishing Democracy”

As expected, this came with some backlash. Our press corps are used to an open and transparent POTUS like Trump, who took questions at random, even when he didn’t need to (and maybe shouldn’t have).

Now they have to deal with Biden, the guy who takes off into the back rooms whenever a question is thrown at him.

But this afront to the free press won’t stand, and White House Correspondents’ Association President Steven Portnoy said in a statement about the incident:

“The entire editorial component of the U.S. pool went immediately into Jen Psaki’s office to register a formal complaint that no American reporters were recognized for questions in the president’s Oval Office and that wranglers loudly shouted over the president as he seemed to give an answer to Ed O’Keefe’s question about the situation at the Southern Border. Biden’s answer could not be heard over the shouting.”

The wranglers seem to be a constant presence in the Biden administration. They’re always hovering nearby when he’s out and about and could make himself look like a fool.

Do you remember Trump ever needing handlers?

Portnoy’s statement continued, “Psaki was unaware that the incident had occurred, and suggested that she was not in a position to offer an immediate solution.”

Like I said, she has the toughest job in DC. If she wasn’t so standoffish, you could almost have sympathy for her.

However, it wasn’t Portnoy’s statement that was the most biting for the Biden administration. It was a statement put out by the Washington Post’s Ashley Parker that truly hit the ugly nail on the head:

“Worth noting that Biden ran for office promising to restore democracy after 4 years of Trump, but today it was the British leader, NOT the American one, who spotlighted a key tenet of a flourishing democracy — respect for a free press — by taking questions from his press corps.”

Mic drop.

This is where our presidency is.

It’s nothing but a farce, a hollow shell from where it was just eight months ago.

Thanks, Liberals…
