For conservatives and capitalists – it’s truly baffling as to why socialists like AOC, Bernie, and their whacko followers just don’t understand what truly makes America “America.”

For us, it makes sense…

Make as much money as you want within the confines of the laws and regulations that the government has set forth.

Plain. Simple. Easy.

It’s a freedom set forth and guaranteed by the founding fathers…

So why would these socialists want to destroy what made America the most successful country on the planet?

What is it about the current system that has these weirdos so worked up?

Well, apparently it’s not really the system itself…

They just think they’re better than you.

That’s not making an assumption either…

That comes straight from the horse’s mouth.

AOC gave her thoughts on capitalism at the swanky and hip music festival, South by Southwest, saying, “Capitalism is an ideology of capital — the most important thing is the concentration of capital and to seek and maximize profit.”

Ok… so we can kind of agree on something.

Though a little dumbed down and simplified, it’s totally accurate to say that capitalism is the ideology of capital and maximizing profit.

Humph… maybe this AOC ain’t so bad?

Let’s see what else she says: “So to me capitalism is irredeemable.”

Come again?

So, the idea of having the freedom to make money for yourself, but within the letter of the law, is “irredeemable”?

As Inigo Montoya says in “The Princess Bride”: “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

What can be more fair than the equality of opportunity?

What could be more redeemable than a system that promotes freedom?

Maybe capitalists don’t look at capitalism as redeemable or irredeemable as it’s just a system that rewards effort and success – there’s no ulterior motive to it…

Capitalism, for lack of a better word, is pure.

But not to AOC…

To her, it’s bad, and here’s why…

“We’re reckoning with the consequences of putting profit above everything else in society. And what that means is people can’t afford to live. For me, it’s a question of priorities and right now I don’t think our model is sustainable.”

Oh… so that’s what she means by “irredeemable” – that she cares more about other people than people who enjoy having the freedom to work and make money as they please do…

That capitalists only care about stacking cash because, according to AOC, they must be independent of each other.

You can’t be caring and capitalist at the same time?

For the record, it’s not mutually exclusive – and some of the greatest technological and medical breakthroughs have all happened under the umbrella called “capitalism” – you know, the kind of breakthroughs that make life easier or, in fact, save lives?

But to her – capitalism is irredeemable.

Well, maybe capitalists don’t see capitalism as “irredeemable” because most capitalists don’t think they’re better than other people…

They’re too busy working, creating, and making money to have a superiority complex like Bernie and AOC tend to display.

You know, at one point, working hard and succeeding was something that was celebrated – not looked down upon.

Work ethic is an important American value, but it’s definitely something that seems to be lacking on the socialism side of the spectrum.

Why work when other people can work and pay their money to you?

It’s like the most massive pyramid scheme ever…

But you never get back any money – no matter how many people you pull in under you. Those are socialists for you – they always know what’s better for you than you do.

Think about it…

Have you ever met a socialist or communist that didn’t have that winning “holier-than-thou” attitude?

These people tend to think that they’re kinder and more generous than you could ever be…

They truly believe that helping SOME people is worth the sacrifice of others as much as they truly believe greed is bad and individual success should be shunned and not applauded.

They keep saying that socialism is about helping people…

And they’re right, if they mean it helps the people in power stay in power and allow them to live their best life while the rest of the population wallows in poverty and scarcity.

Thomas Sowell put it best when he said, “It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.”

But that’s socialism…

It’s what happens when socialism is implemented on a large scale. It’s happened EVERY time it’s been tried.

Every. Time.

“But wait! This’ll be different. This is ‘democratic socialism’! The people will control the government – not the other way around.”

Uh huh…

For the record, in modern times, socialism was always voted in – it’s what happens AFTER the fact that morphs it into something less than sustainable.

These promises that AOC and Bernie are making are the same promises that put Hitler, Stalin, and Mao into power…

They promised the SAME things!

How can people not see that?

Well, it comes down to the socialists’ sense of moral superiority and hubris.

These people think that what happened in these countries couldn’t happen in America because they know better.

What needs to happen, is these people need to be humbled…
Intellectually and philosophically.

Of course, that may be an impossibility…

These people may, in fact, be irredeemable.

I do know this…

Keep trying to take away our freedoms – be that guns, speech, or the way we’re able to make money – and they’ll learn firsthand just how wrong they really are.

America IS freedom…

Try to change that at your own peril.

“Imagine a political system so radical as to promise to move more of the poorest 20% of the population into the richest 20% than remain in the poorest bracket within the decade? You don’t need to imagine it. It’s called the United States of America.” – Thomas Sowell
