Did you watch our president’s State of the Union address?

If you missed it, you missed something very powerful.

In fact…

I’ll go out on a limb here and say it was Trump’s most composed and presidential speech he’s made to date.

But you don’t have to take my word for it — 72% of people polled for CBS and 76% of the people polled by CNN approved of the Trump’s SOTU address.

While some even called it “great”…

Not everybody thinks so.

While Trump did his best to reach across the aisle and show that regarding a lot of issues — many of the things that concern American citizens — Democrats and Republicans are very similar.

The president said:

Many of us campaigned on the same core promises: To defend American jobs and demand fair trade for American workers; to rebuild and revitalize our Nation’s infrastructure; to reduce the price of healthcare and prescription drugs; to create an immigration system that is safe, lawful, modern and secure; and to pursue a foreign policy that puts America’s interests first.

And he’s right.

If these values aren’t in the heart of every American that runs for office, then that individual should reevaluate their choice to serve their country.

But it even got better from there…

Trump called for unity, peace and bipartisan solutions to problems and issues that for sure the left could agree on or so you would think.

Trump said:

In the 20th century, America saved freedom, transformed science and redefined the middle class standard of living for the entire world to see. Now, we must step boldly and bravely into the next chapter of this great American adventure, and we must create a new standard of living for the 21st century. An amazing quality of life for all of our citizens is within our reach.

Incredible stuff. Powerful.

Isn’t this something that the left could get behind? Isn’t this something Democrats could applaud?

Well, you’d think so — but they didn’t.

They sat there. Wearing white. Not showing an iota of patriotism — neither in their approval of positive American accomplishments and successes — nor as something as small as an American flag pin on their jacket.

Trump continued:

We can make our communities safer, our families stronger, our culture richer, our faith deeper and our middle class bigger and more prosperous than ever before, but we must reject the politics of revenge, resistance and retribution — and embrace the boundless potential of cooperation, compromise and the common good.

Again, what could sound better than a prosperous America?

An America that cares about the welfare of its citizens and the equal opportunity to succeed?

An America whose government works together to make things better for them — a government that finds a way to put aside personal feelings for the well-being of the country?

That surely would get some kind of response from the left, correct?

No, no it didn’t.

They sat there. Pouting. Doing their very best to show LITTLE support for the man that’s risking his fortune, future and life, as well as those lives of his family and those closest to him.

They wanted to send a political statement…

And they did.

They showed us that the left doesn’t care about America — they only care about their personal agenda.

And how do we know this to be FACT?

Because all you had to do was look at the responses from the liberal-run mainstream media to the president’s SOTU address.

Now remember, over 70% of many American citizens polled liked the SOTU speech. That’s an overwhelming number.

So you’d think that sentiment would be echoed by media personalities, right?

Wrong.

How did CNN’s Van Jones see the speech? “My first take: A psychotically incoherent speech mixing cookies with dog poop.”

Nice, Van, really classy and mature.

Aaron David Miller wrote:

Compare this SOTU to his Inaugural Address. A clear evolution in words and tone. But speech was most likely a headline not a trend line. And there’s a pretty good chance we may be back to norm breaking; crude insulting and generally anti presidential behavior in days to come.

Way to show respect and positivity, Aaron.

And Keith Boynkin kept that anti-positivity train rolling with his tweet, that said:
Trump gave two different #SOTU speeches. One, clearly written by someone else, calling America to unity. The other, clearly reflecting Trump’s own vision, attacking the Mueller investigation, fearmongering for a border wall and taking credit for things he had nothing to do with.

Zero credit given to the man that is fundamentally changing America and giving us something to be proud of. Good one, Keith!

And they weren’t alone…

The left was almost universally lambasting Trump’s SOTU address, because it didn’t match their agenda.

Their agenda is the ousting of Trump and the subjugation of the American people into slave laborers.

The response proved one thing…

The left is at war.

Not only with the Republican Parties and all that it represents…

But American ideals as well.

The sooner that America understands that – the better.
