Nancy Pelosi, the detestable Speaker of the House of Representatives, can’t help herself. She blames President Trump for any and all of American’s problems. The President could cure cancer by himself and she would still find a reason to criticize him for not developing the cure the correct way.

She obsessively launches investigations into the president in a desperate bid to find a reason—ANY reason—to remove him from office. At the beginning of the year, there was impeachment (seems like ten years ago given the speed of the news cycle this year), and then Madame Speaker announced that the Democrats would be investigating Trump’s response to the pandemic.

In April, Pelosi announced an investigation into the Trump administration’s response to COVID-19 as though Trump himself were responsible. Pelosi told reporters that the committee will “examine all aspects of the federal response to the coronavirus and ensure the taxpayer’s dollars are being wisely and efficiently spent. The panel will root out waste, fraud, and abuse; it will protect against price-gauging, profiteering, and political favoritism. We need transparency and accountability.”

Even all these months later, Pelosi is still blaming Trump—not China—for the pandemic. China knew about the virus spread long before it was known by the rest of the world and lied to the World Health Organization in the process. The responsibility for the virus begins and ends at the door of the Chinese Communist Party.

Unless, of course, you’re Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi refuses to refer to COVID-19 as the Chinese virus, the Wuhan virus, or any other name that links it to China. Instead, she refers to it as the “Trump Virus.” Rather than giving the president credit for his handling of the crisis and his role in getting the states all the testing kits, PPE, and ventilators they needed, she instead blames Trump for the deaths of a reported 140,000 Americans to this point (although that number is likely overinflated given the way COVID deaths are currently being classified).

On Tuesday, Speaker Pelosi went on Wolf Blitzer’s CNN show and made a fool of herself like only she can. Here is a brief transcript of the exchange:

Pelosi: Well, I think with the president’s comments today, he recognized the mistakes that he has made by now embracing mask-wearing and the recognition this is not a hoax, it is a pandemic that has gotten worse before it will get better because of his inaction, and, in fact, clearly, it is the Trump virus.

BLITZER: Well, what do you mean when you say the Trump virus?

PELOSI: The Trump virus. If they — if he had said months ago, let’s wear masks, let’s not — let’s socially distance, instead of having rallies and political, whatever they were, then more people would have followed his lead. He’s the president of the United States. Instead of being a bad example, making it like a manhood thing, not to wear a mask.

So, in any event, it was weird because a briefing on the coronavirus should be about science and that is something the president has ignored. It should be about governance, and now, he’s finally embracing and saying, ‘OK, it’s OK to wear a mask.’ So, I think a good deal of what we have suffered is clearly the Trump virus.

BLITZER: So, what you’re saying is that thousands of Americans have died because of what the president has done or not done. Is that what you’re saying?

PELOSI: Yeah. Yes, that’s what I am saying. I think it’s clearly evident. We’re approaching 4 million, approaching 4 million infect — people affected by this, infected by it. And a large number, you know, like 140,000 who have passed away.”

Comments like this are exactly why the Republicans need to take back the House in November. She needs to have the Speaker’s gavel taken away from her before the damage done to the country becomes permanent.
