I have a new pet peeve: People blaming acts of violence and racism on people who had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Exhibit A: Nancy Pelosi is now blaming Republicans for the murder of George Floyd.

Not that anyone should be surprised at something patently false coming out of the botoxed lips of Madame Speaker, but it’s still a shocking accusation.

On Tuesday, CBS News’s Steve Futterman asked Pelosi whether there is any hope that Democrats and Republicans can “reach some compromise” on a police reform bill.

“Well, you be the judge,” the Speaker responded. “We’re saying, ‘no chokeholds.’ They’re saying maybe — they’re not saying ‘no chokeholds.’ There’s a big difference here. What’s the compromise? Some chokeholds? I don’t see what the compromise is.”

She then complained about the press coverage being given to Senator Tim Scott’s police reform legislation that the Senate Dems subsequently killed yesterday.

“The press has given them so much play for this … unsalvageable piece of legislation,” she grumbled. “[F]or something to happen, they’re going to have to face the reality of police brutality. The reality of the need for justice in policing.”

Pelosi concluded, “So, when they admit that, and have some suggestions that are worthy of consideration — but so far, they were trying to get away with murder, actually. The murder of George Floyd.” (emphasis added).

Class act, Nancy. I am sorry, did Tim Scott, Mitch McConnell, and the rest of the Republican Senators put their knees on George Floyd’s neck? If they did, I must have missed that. If Nancy wants to play that game, then I’m going to turn it around and blame the Democratic Party for the death of George Floyd.

The Democrats control the city of Minneapolis. They have a Democrat as mayor, governor, and attorney general, and they control the city council. Clearly, if any party is to blame, this is the fault of the Democrats. Why didn’t they prevent that cop from murdering George Floyd?

See, Dems, it isn’t so nice to be blamed for crimes you didn’t commit, is it? I am sick and tired of be blamed, as a conservative, for racism and other disgraceful acts that I didn’t commit. I am sure many of you are as well.

We aren’t responsible for slavery because we weren’t alive when it happened. We are not responsible for racism, because we aren’t racist. We are under no obligation to apologize to black Americans for slavery and racism just because we are white.

In the Leftist mind, even breathing is an act of racism. The real goal here is to silence us and makes us bend the knee to their mob. We are supposed to grant them the premise that America is a systemically racist country in 2020 where cops are gunning down blacks in the streets for sport. That is statistically untrue, as I have shown in multiple other articles using hard data.

This isn’t America in 1860 or 1960. The story of America has been how we have tried to live up to the ideals in our founding documents and haven’t always succeeded. But millions of Americans, including millions of whites, have pushed for change and have helped the nation overcome those dark spots in our history. We are a much freer country than we were even fifty years ago. This is a great country regardless of what Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Dems say. We are responsible for the country today, not the sins of the past.

“We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” -Ronald Reagan
