After seeming to rebuke the Minnesotan congresswoman, Nasty Nancy backs down from the Squad – indicating she knows who is REALLY in control.

Well, that didn’t take long.

A week after releasing a tough sounding rebuke of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar for equating America to the Taliban and Hamas, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has backed down, and has tacitly conceded defeat to the Squad.

Pelosi fears the Squad, and they know it.

Last week, Omar tweeted, “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban. I asked @SecBlinken where people are supposed to go for justice.”

In response, Pelosi tried to sound tough by releasing the following statement:

“Legitimate criticism of the policies of both the United States and Israel is protected by the values of free speech and democratic debate. And indeed, such

criticism is essential to the strength and health of our democracies, but drawing false equivalencies between democracies like the U.S. and Israel and groups that engage in terrorism like Hamas and the Taliban foments prejudice and undermines progress toward a future of peace and security for all.”

And then…she backed down.

Wow, who could possibly have seen this coming?

Pelosi went so far as to thank Omar for her half-hearted apology for her disgusting tweet.

Yes, that was good enough for Nancy.

Pelosi told CNN’s Dana Bash that, “We did not rebuke her. We thanked — acknowledged that she made a clarification.”

Congresswoman Omar is a valued member of our caucus,” Pelosi added. “She asked her questions of the secretary of state. Nobody criticized those, about how people will be held accountable if we’re not going to the International Court of Justice. That was a very legitimate question. That was not of concern. Members did become concerned when the tweet that was put out equated the United States with the Taliban and Hamas.”

Aww, isn’t that nice, they are just one big, happy, Marxist family.

The U.S. and Israel should never be mentioned in the same breath as Hamas and the Taliban, and the fact that a sitting Congresswomen did so is shameful and she should immediately be removed from her seat on the Foreign Relations Committee.

But Nancy isn’t going to let that happen.

That is why House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is going to try and remove her himself.

The New York Post reported, “McCarthy is weighing forcing a vote on a privileged resolution to remove Omar from her committee posts – a move that would likely fail on the floor.

In addition to calls for committee removal, a group of GOP lawmakers introduced a censure resolution to formally condemn members of ‘The Squad’ for anti-Israel remarks on Monday.”

McCarthy then went on to promise that if the Republicans took back the House, that Omar would not be serving on the Foreign Affairs committee.

He said,” I will promise you this: If we are fortunate enough to have the majority, Omar would not be serving on Foreign Affairs, or anybody that has an anti-Semitic, anti-American view,” McCarthy said during an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday.

At least one leader is willing to stand up to the “Squad.” Too bad Nancy Pelosi doesn’t have the spine to do it herself.

America deserves a better speaker than Nancy Pelosi.
