What did the Jews ever do to anyone to solicit such hatred from so many people?
They are the most targeted group for hate crimes in the United States, and anti-Semitism has been given a platform in the media — most recently in an anti-Semitic cartoon in the New York Times.
This weekend, violence broke out in Israel after an Islamic jihadi sniper fired at Israeli troops, wounding two soldiers.
The Jerusalem Post reported that nearly 700 rockets were fired at Israel from Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip. Four Israelis were killed and dozens more were wounded.
President Trump tweeted his support for our friends in Israel: “Once again, Israel faces a barrage of deadly attacks by terrorist groups. Hamas and Islamic Jihad. We support Israel 100% in its defense of its citizens.”
Trump then went on to lay blame at the feet of the Gazan people: “To the Gazan people—these terrorist acts against Israel will bring you nothing but more misery. END the violence and work towards peace-it can happen!”
Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib Defend the Terrorists in Gaza
Representatives Ilhan Omar (D, MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D, MI) took the opposite view from President Trump — they defended the jihadis in Gaza.
Not that anyone should be surprised — both have displayed hatred for the Jews in the past.
The Michigan congresswoman has hosted an extremist anti-Israel activist, who has called for acts of terrorism in the past.
The event was held in her congressional office in mid-April to celebrate the American Muslims for Palestine Advocacy Day.
A photo was posted online by the event organizer, American Muslims for Palestine, showing Tlaib standing next to Joe Carton. Carton is an anti-Israel activist who has openly praised Palestinian organizations for committing acts of terrorism.
Rep. Omar played on Jewish stereotypes when she tweeted, “It’s all about the Benjamins baby” in response to GOP leader Kevin McCarthy threatening to punish Omar and another congresswoman for being critical of Israel.
She then went on to accuse American Jews of dual loyalty when she said, “I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country.”
Their hatred for the Jews came through this weekend, when both took to Twitter to defend the Palestinian aggressors.
Omar tweeted, “How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends? The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace.”
Tlaib tweeted, “When will the world stop dehumanizing our Palestinian people who just want to be free? Headlines like this & a framing it in this way just feeds into the continued lack of responsibility on Israel who unjustly oppress & target Palestinian children and families # FreePalestine.”
Omar and Tlaib Are Dead Wrong About the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Israel is not oppressing and targeting Palestinian children and families. It was the jihadis in Gaza who opened fire on Israeli soldiers. They then launched 700 rockets into Israel, against the civilian population. It is Hamas that is purposely targeting Israeli children and families, not the other way around.
Rep. Tlaib refers to the Palestinian people as “OUR people.” Funny how she and her buddy Omar accuse American Jews of dual loyalty, while at the same time referring to herself as a Palestinian.
The hypocrisy of the Left knows no bounds.
Rep. Omar’s claim that Palestine has been occupied by Israel is false — there has NEVER been a Palestinian state.
How can Israel occupy a country that has never existed?
Israel is the only party that has given territorial concessions and has allowed people of the other faith to live within its borders.
Every time violence breaks out in the region, it is in response to Hamas aggression. Israel is just defending itself.
The humanitarian crisis is caused by the Hamas-led government, not Israel.
The territory that Israel controls is a result of Arab-led invasions in the past — most notably the Six-Day War in 1967. Israel was invaded on all sides by Arab armies, turned back the invading forces, and held onto the territory it gained.
Still, it gets called the aggressors and occupiers. Israel can’t win in the court of public opinion.
People like Omar and Tlaib perpetuate this false narrative and seek to harm our nation’s best ally in the Middle East.
