Does the mainstream media even pay attention to current events?
Do they have eyes?
Do they have ears?
Lately, the mainstream media has been acting like the proverbial ostrich and sticking their head in the sand when it comes to Trump’s chances of winning the 2020 election.
You’d think that they’d have learned their lesson in 2016 when they all but declared Hillary Clinton the winner, only to have their hope and dreams dashed upon the rocks when they woke up and heard that Donald Trump would be the next President of the United States.
But they clearly didn’t learn anything.
They still believe the polls…
They still believe what the OTHER talking heads are saying in the echo chamber because they so desperately want it to be true.
Their hate for Donald Trump has them so twisted that they can’t hear the roar of supporters that back the president’s every move.
And honestly, it’s hard to even relate.
Their Hate Is STRONG
It’s hard to understand why they hate this man so much that it’s clouding their judgment and logic because we don’t really have any hate for Joe Biden.
Sure, many of us may think that he’s dangerous for the country and isn’t fit to run an IHOP, much less the United States of America…
But we don’t hate the man.
However, the Left has so much hate for Trump that they can’t see the forest for the trees…
They can only see the hate for him and everything he stands for.
That may be why they believe that the Grand Old Party—the Republican Party itself—will die when (not if, in their minds) Trump loses the election.
The New York Times decided that this story was worth a WHOLE editorial titled: “R.I.P, G.O.P: The Party of Lincoln had a good run. Then came Mr. Trump”
Can you believe it?
Have they not seen the THOUSANDS of people that show up to Trump’s rallies?
Have they not seen the thousands of cars in the caravans that are touring cities all around America?
Do they not see the ocean of Trump supporters creating their OWN events in parks and on the sides of roads of these same cities?
Are they REALLY that blind?
Do they think that kind of enthusiasm is somehow faked? Or do they think this is just the LOUD part of the minority?
Regardless, they’re severely underestimating Trump and his supporters.
Of course, you would expect NOTHING less from the NYT, a supposed unbiased news outlet that has thrown its weight behind Joe Biden in the form of an endorsement.
Biased Garbage From Bias TRASH
In the article, the editorial board starts off with, “Of all the things President Trump has destroyed, the Republican Party is among the most dismaying.
‘Destroyed’ is perhaps too simplistic, though. It would be more precise to say that Mr. Trump accelerated his party’s demise, exposing the rot that has been eating at its core for decades and leaving it a hollowed-out shell devoid of ideas, values or integrity, committed solely to preserving its own power even at the expense of democratic norms, institutions and ideals.”
Funny how the opposite side of the aisle can have the same view, because we too believe that the Democrats are a “hollowed-out shell devoid of ideas, values, or integrity, committed solely to preserving its own power even at the expense of democratic norms, institutions and ideals.”
It’s funny that the Left thinks the RINOs and Never-Trumpers are somehow the norm of the Republican Party and not the exception…
But they couldn’t be more wrong.
It’s the other way around—but they don’t want to believe that.
So they wrote a whole OpEd on why they think the GOP is dying due to Trump’s actions.
It’s nothing more than the same Democrat talking points that you’ve heard 100 times over in the last year or so…
But it’s shocking to read a news outlet take this stance nonetheless.
It was the closing of the article that will really show how delusional these Liberals are: “But many of these disillusioned Republicans also acknowledge that their team has been descending into white grievance, revanchism and know-nothing populism for decades. Mr. Trump just greased the slide. ‘He is the logical conclusion of what the Republican Party has become in the last 50 or so years,’ the longtime party strategist Stuart Stevens asserts in his new book, ‘It Was All a Lie.’
The scars of Mr. Trump’s presidency will linger long after he leaves office. Some Republicans believe that, if those scars run only four years deep, rather than eight, their party can be nursed back to health. Others question whether there is anything left worth saving. Mr. Stevens’s prescription: ‘Burn it to the ground, and start over.’”
For a news outlet, it sure seems like the NYT doesn’t know a THING about current events.
If Trump loses, the GOP won’t die; it’ll be just as strong as ever!
In fact, the argument could be made that Trump’s influence reignited the Right’s passion for righteousness and has only solidified their stance when it comes to America and their party.
This piece is nothing more than biased garbage from biased trash…
Put their opinion where the shadow of communism, socialism, and Marxism belongs: in the trash bit of history.
“Benjamin Franklin said there were only two things certain in life: death and taxes. But I’d like to add a third certainty: trash. And while some in this room might want to discuss reducing taxes, I want to talk about reducing trash.” – Ruth Ann Minner
