He told everybody…

Trump told the world that, when he became president, he was going to make new deals that would be in America’s best interests.

Obama doubted him…

Do you remember that?

“Well, how exactly are you going to do that? What exactly are you going to do? There’s no answer to it,” Obama said. “He just says, ‘Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.’ Well, what, how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually, the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.”

Well…

Trump must be a wizard of Harry Potter proportions as he’s been able to fix a LOT of the trade, peace, and climate deals that put the rest of the world’s interests over America’s – while forcing us to foot the bill.

He tore up the Iran Nuclear deal…

He pulled us out of the Paris Accords…

He reworked NAFTA…

And he took China to war over trade.

Trump Plays 4D Chess

Of course, the Left was FREAKING out over this move…

Saying that our president was going to not only wreck our economy but also destroy the world economy and start wars with his recklessness.

However, as pressure mounted on China and they began to realize that they needed us way more than we needed them…

Negotiations slowly began to happen, with progress being made every day.

Word started going around over the past month that the US and China had agreed to a new trade deal – one that wasn’t just in one country’s favor, but mutually beneficial to both.

Now…

Even more news is coming out about the deal, most of it pertaining to tariffs.

Of course, that was one of the Left’s favorite attacks on Trump during the trade war with China – “Tariff Man” – due to his penchant for levying tariffs on people who refused to negotiate or budge on their position.

However, if there is one thing that Trump has proved in his almost three years in office, it’s that economic pressure works.

Tariffs and sanctions seem to hasten the process and while the Left was railing against Trump’s decisions, the President was busy getting things done in his own unique—and apparently, magical—way.

Trump’s Proof Is In The Proverbial Pudding

Well, China and the US have agreed to CANCEL those tariffs imposed on the other’s goods during the trade war, but these cancelations are going to happen in phases.

The tariff cancellation is an important condition for the first phase of an actual signed agreement between the two countries.

The spokesman for the Chinese Commerce Ministry, Gao Feng, spoke at a press briefing, informing China (and the world) how these phases of tariff canceling are going to work.

The first condition is that the tariffs must be the same – meaning that if the US cancels $50 Million in tariffs – China must do the same. It seems a bit childish, but these kinds of agreements must be met in order for them to work.

“The trade war started with tariffs, and should end with the cancellation of tariffs,” Gao told reporters.

Of course…

Apparently, Chinese negotiators wanted the United States to drop 15% tariffs on about $125 billion worth of Chinese goods and 25% tariffs on about $250 billion of imports from machinery and semiconductors to furniture.

For those counting at home, that’s $81 billion worth of tariffs that China doesn’t want to have to pay.

This is what thawed out those frigid negotiations…

As that’s a lot of cheddar to hand over.

That being said, where’s the Left? They claim they’ll call things down the middle – but there will not be ONE Liberal the praises Trump over what he’s been able to accomplish, not only with China but also with the other deals he’s been able to renegotiate or pull out of altogether.

This is what happens when you put America first…

Future presidents should pay close attention to Trump’s handling of trade – they may be able to learn something.

“Every day, I wake up determined to deliver a better life for the people all across this nation that have been neglected, ignored, and abandoned. I have visited the laid-off factory workers and the communities crushed by our horrible and unfair trade deals. These are the forgotten men and women of our country.” – Donald Trump
