Finally, it is looking like New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s chickens are coming home to roost.
After ordering that COVID-positive nursing home residents be sent back into nursing homes, which caused the virus to spread and kill thousands of elderly New Yorkers, Andrew Cuomo is finally facing the music.
Even Democrats in his state are hitting back at Cuomo publicly.
Watching Democrats fight amongst each other is so entertaining and satisfying. Get the popcorn out.
As public attention turns the spotlight on the issue, New York Democrats are ganging up on Governor Cuomo and it is glorious.
Cuomo recently threatened New York State assemblyman Ron Kim, who publicly criticized Cuomo. Kim lost a family member to COVID in a nursing home as well, and Cuomo threatened to destroy his career if he pressed the issue.
Breitbart reported Kim’s statement: “’He [Cuomo] tried to pressure me to issue a statement, and it was a very traumatizing experience,’ Kim said, according to CNN. Cuomo, Kim alleged, continued to threaten his career, telling him that ‘we’re in this business together and we don’t cross certain lines.’
‘And he said I hadn’t seen his wrath and that he can destroy me,’ Kim claimed, adding that ‘no man has ever spoken’ to him in that manner in his ‘entire life.’
‘At some point he tried to humiliate me, asking: ‘Are you a lawyer? I didn’t think so. You’re not a lawyer.’ It almost felt like in retrospect he was trying to bait me and anger me and say something inappropriate. I’m glad I didn’t,’ he added.”
Apparently, Cuomo thinks he is a mafia don and not the governor of New York.
As if it wasn’t bad enough for Cuomo that a Democrat state legislature was publicly rebuking him, it got worse for him when New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio took to the airwaves to throw Cuomo under the bus.
That’s right…Bill De Blasio.
I can’t believe I am actually going to write this, but here it goes: Well done, Bill De Blasio… well done.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
De Blasio said the following about Cuomo on MSNBC’s Morning Joe:
“It’s a sad thing to say, Mika” [Co-Host of Morning Joe], “but that’s classic Andrew Cuomo. A lot of people in New York State have received those phone calls. The bullying is nothing new. I believe Ron Kim, and it’s very, very sad. No public servant, no person who’s telling the truth should be treated that way. But yeah, the threats, the belittling, the demand that someone changed their statement right that moment, many, many times, I’ve heard that and I know a lot of other people in this state have heard that.”
It’s open season on Governor Cuomo. Clearly the disdain for Cuomo by his fellow Democrats has been festering for years and they now have a reason for it to rise to the surface for all to see.
I wish the Democrats in New York would have gone after Cuomo earlier, but I’ve got to give credit where credit is due. I am glad they are finally standing up to their thug governor.
One of the few times in my life I actually support something Democrats have done. I can probably count on one hand how many times that has happened. So, don’t get used to it Dems!
But for now, well done. Well done indeed!
