The Democrats and their media allies have gone apoplectic over President Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky.

In the transcript of the call, it is recorded that Trump asked Zelensky to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden for their roles in getting a prosecutor fired for investigating Burisma Holdings, a company for which Hunter Biden served on the board.

The Democrats have accused Trump of “pressuring” Zelensky to investigate the Bidens by withholding military funding unless the Ukrainians investigated them.

The claim is that Trump was seeking to get “dirt” on a political opponent.

However, Trump has good reason to ask them to investigate Joe Biden. There is credible evidence to suggest that Biden did the exact same thing the media is accusing Trump of doing.

There is reason to believe that Biden threatened to deny aid to the Ukrainians unless they dropped the investigation of Burisma in an attempt to protect his son from scrutiny.

Now, new evidence has been unearthed that lends credence to this theory.

Journalist John Solomon reported yesterday that Burisma pressured the Obama administration to end corruption investigations into the company.

That is precisely the information that President Trump was seeking when he requested that Zelenksy investigate the matter.

Solomon’s report began by stating that “Hunter Biden and his Ukrainian gas firm colleagues had multiple contacts with the Obama State Department during the 2016 election cycle, including one just a month before Vice President Joe Biden forced Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating his son’s company for corruption, newly released memos show.”

I thought these were baseless charges being perpetrated by the president, constituting an impeachable offense.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper basically told us as much during the latest presidential debate, asking Biden if he had any comments on the “unsubstantiated” accusations against him. Cooper isn’t the only journalist to laugh off the allegations.

The report continued: “Just three weeks before Burisma’s overture to State, Ukrainian authorities raided the home of the oligarch who owned the gas firm and employed Hunter Biden, a signal the long-running corruption probe was escalating in the middle of the U.S. presidential election.”

The Burisma representative who contacted the State Department cited Hunter Biden in his email to the State Department representative.

The story has gotten even more intriguing following Solomon’s revelation that John Kerry had a meeting with a board member of Burisma.

Solomon reported that “Hunter Biden’s fellow American board member at Burisma, Devon Archer, secured a meeting on March 2, 2016, with Secretary of State John Kerry. In addition to serving on the Burisma board, Archer and Hunter Biden were partners at an American firm known as Rosemont Seneca.

‘Devon Archer coming to see S today at 3 pm -need someone to meet/greet him at C street,’ and email from Kerry’s office manager reads. ‘S’ is shorthand frequently used in State emails to describe the Secretary of State. The memos don’t state the reason for the meeting.”

It seems a little suspicious, doesn’t it?

Within a short amount of time following the raid of the home of the owner of Burisma, a representative of the company reached out to the State Department by citing Hunter Biden’s involvement with the company.

Then, one of Burisma’s American board members met with Secretary of State John Kerry. Then, one month before Vice President Biden threatened to withhold funding to Ukraine, a representative of the company met with the Obama State Department.

In conclusion, it doesn’t look good for Joe Biden. If the reporting is accurate, then President Trump should be vindicated and applauded for doing his duty as president to investigate an American politician suspected of unethical or illegal actions.

The real story is the shakedown of Ukraine by Joe Biden, not Trump’s phone call with the Ukrainian president.

The impeachment inquisition is a distraction from the truth.
