“Remember the Alamo!”

Those historic words became a rallying cry for Texans after their defeat at the hands of Mexican forces at the Alamo in San Antonio. In a similar vein, the Republicans must never forget the vile, disgusting tactics the Left used against Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation process two years ago. The Republican mantra should be, “Boy, y’all want power. God, I hope you never get it.”

It was just over two years ago that Justice Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the United States Supreme Court. His confirmation proceedings were a national embarrassment, providing a fine example of politics at its dirtiest…and all because the Left couldn’t stand that Trump nominated him.

If our country continues to divide further, historians may look back and say that the Kavanaugh hearing was the moment when America became irreparably polarized as a nation.

It was an appalling episode in a town that has become far too accustomed to dirty politics. The Kavanaugh debacle was yet another attempt of Democrats trying to sabotage a Republican Supreme Court nominee, just like they did to Robert Bork and Clearance Thomas, and even as I write this, we’re watching them try to do it to Amy Coney Barrett as well.

I, like many Americans, was infuriated by the spectacle. It was hard to watch a good man like Kavanaugh be accused of a heinous crime that he clearly didn’t commit.

At the eleventh hour, once it seemed that all other ploys had failed, Senator Dianne Feinstein of California trotted out a rape allegation against Kavanaugh from his high school days. Christine Blasey Ford claimed that she was forcefully sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh at a high school party decades ago.

Despite the fact that Kavanaugh had already undergone the confirmation process for his seat on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, this was the first time that Blasey Ford felt compelled to bring forth the accusation.

How convenient that she somehow found the courage to tell her story. At the last possible moment, just as Kavanaugh was about to be confirmed, Blasey Ford emerged out of the wilderness to bring forward her accusation.

Forty witnesses were interviewed by the FBI following Professor Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation that Brett Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge attempted to rape her when the three were in high school. None of the witnesses corroborated Ford’s story, with some even going so far as to refute it, yet the media and far-Left activists were quick to find Kavanaugh guilty in the court of public opinion.

It was even reported that Ford’s attorney admitted the accusation was made up to prevent Kavanaugh from reaching the court because of his perceived views on abortion.

The attorney, Debra Katz, said the following: “In the aftermath of these hearings I believe that Christine’s testimony brought about more good than the harm the misogynist Republicans caused by allowing Kavanaugh on the court. He will always have an asterisk next to his name. When he takes a scalpel to Roe V. Wade we will know who he is, we know his character and we know what motivates him. It’s important that we know and that’s part of what motivated Christine.”

Joe Biden’s running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, stooped to disgusting lows in her questioning of Judge Kavanaugh and then proceeded to celebrate Christine Blasey Ford for her “courage.”

Time Magazine named Christine Blasey Ford as one of their “100 most influential people” that year. Apparently, if you ruin a good man’s reputation, you are celebrated for it on the cover of Time Magazine.

Harris wrote a short celebratory piece on Ford in the pages of Time. She wrote:

“Her story, spoken while holding back tears, shook Washington and the country. Her courage, in the face of those who wished to silence her, galvanized Americans. And her unfathomable sacrifice, out of a sense of civic duty, shined a spotlight on the way we treat survivors of sexual violence.”

Senator Lindsey Graham summed up the anger that Republicans felt towards the Democrats when he called it the most “unethical sham” in his time in politics and added with the now infamous like, “Boy, y’all want power. God, I hope you never get it!”

That should become the Republican’s “Remember the Alamo” rallying cry with regards to defeating the Democrats at the polls. The Democrats can never be trusted to play fair.

If conservatives don’t show up to the polls and rally their friends and family to cast their vote against the Democrats, this is what we have to look forward to for the next four years, possibly longer.

If you need motivation to cast your ballot for the Republicans, remember what the Democrats did to Justice Brett Kavanaugh, because that is what the future looks like with Democrats in control.

This can’t be allowed to happen. Our country simply can’t survive it.
