Major League Baseball kowtowed to the woke mob this week by announcing that they would be moving their All-Star game out of Atlanta due to lies being told about Georgia’s new election laws being racist.
So, where did MLB move their All-Star game to?
Beautiful state, great ballpark…seems like a good choice.
Except it turns out that Colorado has more “restrictive” voting laws than Georgia and is lily-white compared to the demographics of the city of Atlanta and the state of Georgia.
Wow, MLB, virtue signal much?
In Colorado, a resident needs a voter ID, there are fewer days for early voting, signature verifications is required, and food or water can’t be distributed to voters by anyone other than poll workers.
Well done, MLB. Way to take a stand for social justice.
According to Ballotpedia:
“Colorado requires voters to present non-photo identification (ID) while voting. Accepted forms of ID include valid Colorado driver’s licenses, valid U.S. passports, and certified copies of U.S. birth certificates.
Voters may also need to return a photocopy of their ID with their ballots if they are voting by mail for the first time.”
According to the Colorado Secretary of State’s website, “All voters who vote at the polls must provide identification. If you are voting by mail for the first time, you may also need to provide a photocopy of your identification when you return your mail ballot.”
So, how about those demographics.
The Daily Wire reported the following:
- Colorado is 86.9% white and 4.6% black.
- Georgia is 60.2% white and 32.6% black.
- Denver is 76.1% white and 9.2% black.
- Atlanta is 40.9% white and 51% black.”
The MLB are a bunch of suckers who were hoodwinked by the mob into moving the All-Star game out of Atlanta due to the outright lie that Georgia elections laws are the modern-day equivalent to Jim Crow laws.
(Or is it Jim Eagle laws? Someone better ask Joe Biden to clarify.)
The truth is that Georgia’s election laws actually don’t go far enough to address voter integrity.
The system is still rife with opportunities for fraud.
To ensure a fair process, no-excuse absentee ballots should be eliminated, and only a narrow set of excuses should be allowed to obtain an absentee ballot.
Voter IDs are a must for both absentee and in-person ballots. I can’t even believe this is controversial, but these are the absurd times we live in.
Most voting should be done on Election Day, and if there is going to be any early voting, it should be narrowed down to just one week before election day.
There should be no universal mail-in ballots and drop boxes should be severely limited because of the potential for ballots to be tampered with.
Signature verification also is a must.
Quite simply, voting needs to happen in-person on Election Day, like the country has done for over two centuries.
I know, crazy concept. This is clearly a racist statement.
If the mob thinks Georgia’s watered-down election laws are racist, they must think that the common-sense ideas just presented are not only Jim Crow 2.0, but even worse…they are Jim Eagle 3.0.
MLB management are cowards, but they aren’t even consistent cowards.
If they were going to move the All-Star game out of Georgia, you would think they would have gone to a state that was less “restrictive” than Colorado.
But it’s not about the action, it’s about how the action looks. “Feelings over facts” is the modern standard.
And our country is worse for it.
Well done, MLB. Congratulations on losing half your audience in the name of appeasing a few loud-mouthed members of the mob.
Hope it was worth it.
