We all know that the Liberal-controlled mainstream media is biased. In fact, they barely hide it anymore. But just because we know it doesn’t mean that we aren’t shocked when they go out of their way to blatantly lie. As low as they’ve gone over the years, we still hope that they’d rise above outright lying to sell the narrative that their puppet masters have created.

When you think about it, it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but the fact remains that it’s hard to not react when they throw their lies in our faces.

It’s even worse when they use their deceptive manipulation of the truth to destroy the integrity of a once-respected brand like Meet The Press.

Meet The Press is actually the longest-running television show in history, and it’s been a storied history indeed.

Most people don’t realize it, but it started as a radio show in 1947.

The show’s premise was simple: interview the political leaders of our country to make the public aware of what’s going on. However, over the years, as it made its jump to TV, it has morphed into one of the most important shows on television. By tuning in, the American public gets insight into the political goings-on in not just the country but the world as a whole.

While it has had many hosts over the decades, the longest-tenured and arguably most beloved was Tim Russert, who hosted the show for 17 years before his death in 2008.

He set the standard…and the show has sorely missed his jovial presence ever since.

Downhill Since Russert

After shuffling through a few hosts after Russert’s death, in 2014, NBC settled on new host Chuck Todd.

Under Todd, MTP has morphed yet again, taking the show away from its mostly fair and unbiased interviews. Instead, it’s become an editorial show where Todd’s own opinions take precedence…and since 2016, those options have all be in direct opposition to President Trump.

It’s almost unwatchable if you’re a conservative.

But it doesn’t mean we turn a blind eye to the drivel it puts out. We know that, eventually, they’ll slip up and prove just how biased they really are…

And that’s when conservatives pounce.

This happened recently when Todd and company took a swipe at Donald Trump through an attack on Attorney General Bill Barr. Barr recently said that the Department of Justice was dropping all charges against Gen. Michael Flynn once proof came out that the FBI coerced a confession out of him based on fabricated evidence.

Todd and his cohorts tried to paint the Flynn exoneration as a political move by Barr at the behest of Trump, and in order to make it seem like their claims had supporting evidence, they doctored footage from a Bill Barr interview and aired it on live TV.

Here’s the exchange on the show…

Todd: You brought up Bill Barr. Peggy Noonan, I want you to listen to this Bill Barr answer to a question about what will history say about this. Wait until you hear this answer. Take a listen. [clip of interview begins to play]

Herridge: When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written?

Barr: Well, history is written by the winners, so it largely depends on who’s writing the history. [Clip of interview ends.]

Todd: I was struck, Peggy, by the cynicism of the answer. It’s a correct answer, but he’s the attorney general. He didn’t make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this is a political job.

Now, if this was where the Barr interview ended, Todd would be right. If this had been the extent of the statement, it would very much seem like the Flynn exoneration was nothing more than a political favor for the president.

They Didn’t “Miss” Anything – They OMITTED The Truth

But that’s not the full clip of the Barr interview. The full clip goes as follows…

Herridge: When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written? What will it say about your decision making?

Barr: Well, history is written by the winner. So it largely depends on who’s writing the history. But I think a fair history would say that it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It helped, it upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice.

And there it is.

Barr absolutely made the case for upholding the law in the statement— and by not playing the full clip, Todd and NBC made the case that they’re political hacks that care nothing about the truth.

They got caught red-handed.

When the misquote was highlighted by Barr’s spokeswoman on Twitter, NBC was forced to respond with an insincere apology, saying, “You’re correct. Earlier today, we inadvertently and inaccurately cut short a video clip of an interview with AG Barr before offering commentary and analysis. The remaining clip included important remarks from the attorney general that we missed, and we regret the error.”

You “missed?”

No, you didn’t miss it…

You omitted. There’s a big difference.

Conservatives should boycott any product that is advertised on the show until NBC and Todd can either be forthcoming about their bias or they can fix the show that has become an institution and restore its integrity…

But they won’t…and that’s much to their shame.
