Let’s face it…

As a conservative, when Trump called today’s press the “enemy of the people,” you probably cringed.

And it wasn’t just a little cringe – you probably cringed A LOT. Most conservatives did the same thing because they realize the history that comes with the words that Trump was saying.

We know that the press’s job is to hold the government accountable for its words, deeds, and actions…

They’re essentially the fourth branch of government…

The ultimate check when it comes to checks and balances.

Traditionally, the politicians that attack the press are the ones trying to get things done on the sly…

Dictators and despots have always been known for attacking the press.

Hitler, Stalin, Castro, Mao – all of these communists and fascists discredited the media on their way to instituting tyrannical rule that robbed over 100 MILLION people of their lives…

So we all know what kind of consequences can come from an elected leader doing their best to paint the press in a bad light.

Trump’s Been Provoked Into A War Of Words

However…

Unlike these other leaders, Trump has a reason to have beef with the modern press.

No other president in history has had to withstand the amount of vile and baseless attacks about his character, job, and family that Trump has had to endure.

None…

It’s not even close.

Not even Bush has had to deal with these kinds of frequent, hateful attacks.

It’s like they’ve been waiting for the opportunity to destroy Trump – and since he announced his run for the presidency, that’s exactly what they’ve been doing.

It’s like they’ve been ordered to do so by some unknown puppet master…

As an American, it’s shameful to see.

So, Trump’s been doing what he’s always done…

He’s fighting back. He recently tweeted: “The press is doing everything within their power to fight the magnificence of the phrase, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! They can’t stand the fact that this Administration has done more than virtually any other Administration in its first 2yrs. They are truly the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!”

And while it made us all cringe at the time, as time passes, it’s becoming obvious…

He’s right.

Every day, the mass media’s lies are becoming more and more apparent.

But Trump’s not the only one who is seeing this

Senator Ted Cruz just made that perfectly clear in a series of recent tweets.

“Lion” Ted Calls Out The NYT

It all stems from The New York Times and a few recent developments – namely executive editor Dean Banquet’s desire to start focusing on Trump being a racist now that their Russian collusion hoax has been disproven…

And their new “1619 Project,” intended to redefine historical truth by rewriting America’s history.

“Lion” Ted caught wind of their vile and disgusting ways and called them out on it, and tweeted, “There was a time when journalists covered ‘news.’ The NYT has given up on even pretending anymore. Today, they are Pravda, a propaganda outlet by liberals, for liberals. These remarks at their ‘town hall’ are a scandal & would be a firing offense at any real journalistic outlet.”

And he’s right… 100%.

They are peddling lies and half-truths as fact, and since they can no longer push Russian collusion as a story, it looks like they’re going to make something else up to try and STEAL more Pulitzers.

But Ted didn’t stop his admonishment there…

“The NYT is destroying itself w/ Trump hatred. And it’s ultimately bad for freedom of the press when ‘journalists’ openly revel in being partisan propagandists. When our Nation is so tribalized that each side has their own ‘news’ & ‘facts’ and we don’t even talk to each other.”

It’s bad for the press ANY time they choose sides…

Because by doing so, they’re doing a HUGE disservice to the American people. How can you report news if you put your own spin on things? That’s not news…

That’s not reporting. That is editorializing…

And there’s really no way to be a journalist and an editor at the same time. It’s one or the other – and it seems like the NYT writers have made their choice.
