Many Democrats loathe conservative Evangelical Christians. They are upset that 88% of self-proclaimed evangelicals voted for President Trump in 2016. They call them hypocrites for supporting Trump.

Former President Obama once derided voters in the rural area of Pennsylvania, when he claimed that they “cling to their guns and religion.”

Nancy Pelosi once claimed that Democrats were doing the “Lord’s work.”

Pelosi declared that evangelical Christians, “Pray in church on Sunday, and they prey on people the rest of the week. And while we’re doing the LORD’s WORK, mistering to the needs of God’s creation, they are ignoring those needs which is to dishonor the God who made them.”

Apparently, all evangelical Christians missed the part in the Bible where it says you can kill babies up until the point of birth, or you don’t care about poor people, unless you take other people’s hard-earned money and give it to those with lower incomes.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg Says That God Isn’t a Republican

South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg was a guest on NBC’s “Today” show.

Buttigieg took aim at Republican supporting evangelicals when he said:

What we see (in the White House) is so different than what I hear in scripture when I am in church … I hear about taking care of the marginalized and defending the weak and supporting the poor and visiting the prisoner and welcoming the stranger and humility and decency. These are the things that are taught in Sunday schools around this country. And so the idea that that is the property of the Republican Party, especially this Republican Party and some of the choices they have made in recent years, it just doesn’t add up to me.

Mayor Pete continued saying that he discusses religion so people will “stop seeing religion as a kind of cudgel as if God belonged to a political party and if he did, I can’t imagine it would be the one that sent the current president into the White House.”

Unlike Mayor Pete, I am not going to assume what party God supports, however, I am going to offer a few observations that God may have a problem with.

God Probably Isn’t a Democrat Either

God isn’t a big fan of murder, including babies. The Democrats are the party of abortion.

They have become so radical that many are supporting abortion up until the point of birth.

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam endorsed the idea of killing the baby, not just when it was in the womb — but when it was born!

The Governor said, “When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of the mother, with the consent of physicians — more than one physician by the way — and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities.”

That is infanticide. That clearly violated the commandment of “thou shalt not kill.”

The Democrats equate caring for the poor with using the power of government. They insist you must use the levers of power to force rich people to “pay their fair share” to provide health care, education, welfare, food stamps and much more.

Republicans are compassionate because they support capitalism. American capitalism has led the world in pulling billions of people out of poverty. America’s free market capitalism has created the modern world and has inspired other nations to do so. World poverty has been halved in the past 30 years. Miracle drugs have been developed to treat countless diseases and ailments.

None of these advancements were achieved by government.

So, I am not going to put words in God’s mouth, but I think it’s safe to say that God would prefer the outcomes stemming from conservative policy, and wouldn’t be so keen on liberal policies that harm those they claim to want to help.
