Facts are funny things…

They don’t come with any feelings inherently attached to them. They’re simply the truth, nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe that’s why people tend to take so much comfort in facts…

There’s nothing to argue about. A fact is a fact.

But it’s funny how people will accept facts from some people and not from others…

If it comes from someone they like, they accept it – often not even questioning or verifying said fact. As long as they like that person and agree with the facts that they’re saying, it’s simply accepted, no questions asked.

However…

If they don’t like that person, they often refuse to accept the facts. They question everything about it, including the motives for sharing that fact.

If Obama shared a fact, the Left accepted it wholeheartedly and without question. The Right would question facts from Obama, but after verifying them, they would accept them as well.

Double-Standards Abound

Now, if TRUMP shares a fact, the Right will STILL verify it before accepting it. However, the Left immediately jumps to attack his statement – before verifying a single aspect of the fact. They attack it as false, racist, or bigoted. Then if Trump’s statements prove to be truthful, they try to argue the validity of what he’s saying. Instead of accepting it and moving on, they attack his motives for sharing the truth.

“He only said that ‘cause he’s racist!”

Or…

“Well, maybe if he wouldn’t have done this (and then they insert something crazy and out of context of the current conversation) then he wouldn’t have had to say that.”

It’s ridiculous.

For example, let’s talk about the horrific devastation of the Bahamas and how much aid they’re going to need over the coming months and years.

Americans are coming together and sending them everything they can – but it’ll never be enough…

As a stop-gap, Bahamians are being evacuated off the islands and brought here to the United States.

Of course, bringing in thousands of refugees from ANY country comes with some hazards, as you can’t distinguish the good people from the bad…

So a little verification process is important – which is why Trump told reporters, “We have to be very careful. Everyone needs proper documentation because the Bahamas had some tremendous problems with people going to the Bahamas who weren’t supposed to be there.”

Trust… But VERIFisY!

And there’s something wrong with that?

There’s something wrong with wanting proper documentation?

According to the Left, he said this because he’s a racist and doesn’t want the Bahamians let into the country – something that truly isn’t the case. He just wants to protect Americans from the few bad ones that would use this tragedy as a means as a free trip the US

The president continued: “I don’t want to allow people who weren’t supposed to be in the Bahamas to come into the United States, including some very bad people and some very bad gang members and some very, very bad drug dealers.”

Is that so bad?

Honestly, would you just invite anybody into your house without knowing who they were? It’s not racist or bigoted – it’s smart. To ensure the safety of your family, you would like to know SOMETHING about the person you’re letting into your home and around the people you love.

So no, it’s not racist, especially given that the US State Department warned American travelers to “exercise extreme caution” when vacationing to the island nation.

Oh, and in 2018, Canada issued the same warnings.

So, if what Trump states is fact, why does the Left have such a problem with it?

Because it doesn’t fit their narrative…

Plain and simple.

They want open borders from ALL parts of the world. They want to leave our country vulnerable to any and ALL attacks – and that’s just unacceptable.

This statement isn’t racist…

It isn’t bigoted…

It’s simply telling the truth.

And the Left can’t handle it.
