It’s hard to put a finger on why Star Wars seems to hit a chord on so many different people from so many different backgrounds…

Regardless of age, race, gender, or socio-economic background, it’s hard to find many Star Wars “haters”—outside of the die-hard “Trekkies,” of course.

It’s almost universally loved and accepted worldwide…

So much so that the story and characters have almost transcended to legend – rather than fictional characters.

Additionally, the actors who have played iconic roles in the franchise have become legends in their own right, seeming to reach that same legendary status as the characters they brought to life.

That may be why it’s so disheartening to see them fall from grace, dirtying themselves in the mess of modern politics.

The most recent instance of this was Mark Hamill, who played one of the most iconic roles of all time: Luke Skywalker himself.

No! Not Luke Skywalker!

As a young man, Luke was tasked with becoming the last hope for a universe that was collapsing under the oppressive might of the Galactic Empire. This oppressive regime was controlled by Emperor Palpatine and his right-hand man/attack dog Darth Vader – who we would later learn was Anakin Skywalker, father to Luke and his twin sister Leia.

Luke and Leia came to be inspirational leaders of the Rebellion – an organization dedicated to returning the Empire to the Republic it had once been.

Mark Hamill, to many people around the world, IS Luke Skywalker, and they hold him to a higher standard than most Hollywood actors – even though they shouldn’t, as he’s just a man like anyone else…

But that higher standard may be why seeing him choose the wrong side in America’s own real-life production of the Star Wars story is so disheartening.

You see, Mark believes that the Left is the Rebellion, fighting against the fascist regime of the Trump Empire…

But he couldn’t be more wrong.

Leftists want to give control of EVERYTHING to the government and let them run every part of our lives…

They don’t want their independence; they want to be told what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. They’re willing to exchange freedom for security…

Which means they deserve neither.

The Right, on the other hand, wants to keep America as a republic. We don’t want to hand over control to some despotic ruler. We want to make our own choices, keeping the government out of our lives as much as possible.

Which side is which becomes clear to anybody with sense…

But just realize that the Empire disarmed their citizens before they took over – just like the Democrats are trying to do.

And it’s a shame that Mark Hamill can’t see that.

Seduced By The Power Of The Dark Side

When Ivanka Trump posted a picture of her family, with their littlest child dressed in Star Wars gear with the caption, “The Force is strong in my family.”…

Hamill took it upon himself to attack her and her family by saying, “You misspelled ‘Fraud.’ #GoForceYourself”

Now… what you have here is Luke Skywalker basically attacking a woman— and, more importantly, her children—just because he doesn’t like Trump.

This is terrible on multiple different levels.

It’s not a good look for the man that plays Luke Skywalker…

And the fact that he may be taking the joy of Star Wars away from children is disgusting and almost unforgiveable.

It seems Mark has been seduced by the Dark Side…

But hopefully, just like Darth Vader, who was also seeking unlimited power…

He will see the error of his ways, too.

“Help us, Obi Wan Kenobi…

You’re our only hope.”

“I grew up with the religion of ‘Star Wars,’ frankly. That’s when I realized there is something bigger out there… and it’s called The Force.” – Trey Parker
