Quite literally within minutes of the announcement of the death of conservative talk radio pioneer Rush Limbaugh, members of the Left were celebrating his death.
So much unity. So much.
The disgusting and vile attacks began in earnest as soon as the announcement was made, and they kept coming all day. At one point “Rest in Piss, Rush Limbaugh” was even trending on Twitter.
Classy folks, aren’t they?
Now, I considered not writing this story because these people are sad individuals who aren’t worthy of being acknowledged, but decided that I needed to show the cruelty that exists on the Left.
My social media feed was filled with posts celebrating Rush’s death. They preach decency and unity but in the next breath celebrate the death of a man. Why? Simply because they didn’t agree with his point of view.
Sure, Rush may have made controversial statements, but we have this thing called the First Amendment. The Left once again shows that they don’t truly believe in free speech; they only believe in free speech as it pertains to their point of view.
I can’t imagine the hate that must be within these people. I never would openly celebrate the death of a Left-wing commentator the way the Left has cheered for Rush’s passing.
Rush has a family, as do people on the Left, yet no Leftist stops to think about how their comments will affect the family of the deceased. Decency has become an obsolete term with them.
So, what did these despicable Leftists say about Rush?
Here is a small sample as reported by the Daily Wire.
Rick & Morty writer Siobhan Thompson tweeted “RIP Rush Limbaugh died 69 years later than he shoulda.”

Host of The Young Turks, Cenk Uygur, stated that “The idea that you say artifically [sic] nice things about people after they die is weird,” and that he “never understood the logic of it.”
“Rush Limbaugh was a terrible person while he was alive. He made a living by attacking the powerless. His death does not in anyway change or redeem that,” Uygur added.

Cameron Kasky, one of the founders of the March for Our Lives movement and an outspoken gun control advocate, said that Limbaugh’s “memory lives on through bigots everywhere.”

Parker Malloy, an editor at large for Media Matters, wrote “I was 4 days into a weeklong break from Twitter, but Limbaugh dying felt like a necessary moment to reemerge.”
“My sincerest condolences go out to hell’s other residents who now have to deal with being associated with him,” she continued.

Podcast host Erin Ryan wrote that “God has canceled Rush Limbaugh.” She then added, “And on Ash Wednesday! Ok, you got me God. I’m Catholic again. I’m back.”

The far-Left Huffington Post ran with the following headline on their site:
“Rush Limbaugh, Bigoted King of Talk Radio, Dies at 70: Limbaugh saturated America’s airwaves with cruelty and conspiracies, amassing millions of listeners and transforming the Republican Party.”
The piece went on to say:
“When a Republican politician promoting racist and sexist policies could only use a dog whistle, Limbaugh provided a bull horn…
A full accounting of Limbaugh’s lies and exaggerations; his racism and his misogyny; his homophobia and his Islamophobia; and his sheer cruelty could fill books.”
When the Left preaches unity, they mean that unity only applies to people who agree with them. People like Rush Limbaugh are the exception. He was so evil in their minds that attacking his memory is justified.
These people are sick and deranged. They are the ones who are further dividing the country and they showed their true colors once again.
Rush Limbaugh was a consequential figure the likes of which we may never see again.
The people making these vile statements will long be forgotten, but Rush’s memory will endure. As it should. Even in death, Rush has beaten the Left.
And that is sweet justice indeed.
