Of all the Democrats running for president in 2020, none has been as consistently radical on the issue of guns as Kamala Harris. That is saying something given her opponents.

Just last week, “Spartacus” Cory Booker proposed a plan to create a national gun registry, which would require every gun owner in America to register their guns with the federal government. That proposal should give every American the chills because the next Democratic president would likely support such a plan, given the move left by the Democrats.

Booker felt pressured to release the plan so he could “out-Left” his opponents — most notably Kamal Harris.

Harris didn’t take this laying down, she fought back with a radical proposal of her own: to ban imports of all AR-15 assault rifles.

That’s right, Senator Harris wants to prohibit the shipments of guns into the United States.

At a campaign event in New Hampshire, Harris said:

When we look at the issue of assault weapons, let’s be clear: Assault weapons are designed to kill a lot of people in a very short period of time… We cannot any longer afford to allow people to make this a partisan issue. Those guns, those assault weapons, do not discriminate and determine, OK, is the person pointing it at a Democrat or a Republican.

She is right; however, logic should dictate that a Republican and Democrat should be able to fire back at the shooter with a gun. The law shouldn’t discriminate who gets to own what gun; gun owners should be allowed to own a gun of their choosing.

Three weeks ago, Harris touted another radical gun grab: sign an executive order to enforce gun control.

She told a CNN Town Hall that “there are people in Washington, D.C., supposed leaders, who have failed to have the courage to reject a false choice which suggests you’re either in favor of the second amendment or you want to take everyone’s guns.”

Her plan includes: an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, removal of gun manufacturers licenses and an attempt to close the loophole that allows some domestic abusers to purchase guns, if their victim is a wedded partner.

As I have written about in the past, her solutions are based on a faulty premise: More assault weapons lead to more murders.

That is factually inaccurate.

There are 310 million guns in the United States, despite this, the number of homicides has decreased 50% since 1994.

So-called “assault rifles” account for far less murders than do handguns. According to FBI statistics, 65% of firearm murders were committed using a handgun.

More murders are committed using knives and other cutting instruments than are committed using rifles and shotguns.

In fact, more murders were committed using body parts such as hands, fists and feet than were committed using rifles.

Facts are irrelevant to her and her fellow gun grabbing Democrats.

This will be a very important election for those of us who support OUR Second Amendment rights. If President Trump is not re-elected, those rights may be history.
