Welcome to 2021. Everything is still stupid.
The latest example comes to us from Vogue Magazine, who recently shot a cover photo—well, actually two cover photos—of Kamala Harris for their profile on the future Vice President in their latest publication.
That should be a rather innocuous statement. However, since everything is stupid and people on the Left demand to be morally outraged at all times, the cover shoot turned into a controversy.
The New York Times reported the following about the Harris-Vogue stupid conflict:
“On Sunday, a leaked shot of Vice President-elect Kamala D. Harris’s Vogue cover set off an unexpected firestorm…
Ms. Harris chose and wore her own clothes. The selected photo is determinedly unfancy. Kind of messy. The lighting is unflattering. The effect is pretty un-Vogue. ‘Disrespectful’ was the word used most often on social media.
As the maelstrom of public hot takes began to swirl, Vogue released another, more formal portrait of Ms. Harris in a powder blue Michael Kors Collection suit with an American flag pin on her lapel, her arms crossed in a sort of executive power pose against a gold curtain—for the digital cover…
But according to people familiar with the arrangement, both scenarios had been agreed on in advance, from clothes to backdrops. However, while the portrait had been deemed the “cover try” (magazine-speak for the intended, but not definite, cover) and the standing shot conceived as the inside photograph, Vogue had not granted any kind of contractual cover approval rights to Ms. Harris. That meant Ms. Harris’s team had not seen the final choice, which was left to Vogue, and had not known the magazine had decided to swap the photos.”
I don’t know about you, but I feel dumber for having read this. With all the serious news going on right now, not to mention the many flaws of Kamala Harris, the mainstream news media is concerned with a cover shoot of the future vice president.
Get read folks, this is how the next four years are going to be. It will be a replay of the “no drama Obama” years in which the only controversy the media reported on was when Obama wore a tan suite.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris both have said—and will continue to say—absurd things, but the media won’t report them. Instead, they will resort to covering for them and making them appear infallible…hence why Kamala Harris being photographed in an outfit she picked out is “disrespectful.”
Sure, they will manufacture a stupid controversy that has little impact to make them appear “objective.” But it will all be a ruse. The media has no intention of harming their chosen administration.
The fawning over Biden and Harris is just beginning, and it is only going to get worse. The media is looking forward to a new, softer administration after four years of President Trump hurting their feelings.
The softball interviews and puff pieces are going to be churned out at an epidemic level. Fortunately, there are sites like us here at FreedomWire that will hold the new administration accountable.
Gear up folks. We’ve got four years of cringe-worthy news ahead of us.
