You’ve got to love UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal.
The guy comes exactly as advertised.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida with a Cuban father and Peruvian mother, Masvidal loves to fight so much that it almost like he came out of the womb with his fists balled up.
He made a name for himself fighting in backyard promotions created by former fighter and minor celebrity Dada5000.
Coming from the same places that spawned fighting legend and MMA star Kimbo Slice, Masvidal is a dog in the ring and doesn’t lay down for anybody.
He started taking these semi-organized fights when he was 16-years-old, eventually leading him to amateur MMA, which led to him becoming a professional fighter before he reached the age of 20.
He was the prototypical journeyman for most of his career, doing well in every promotion he popped into…just never good enough to win the title.
However, after a stint on the Spanish game show “Exatlon Estados Unidos,” Masvidal had an epiphany and came back to the UFC ready to destroy everybody on his way to a title.
He eventually won one: the “BMF” title (Bad Mother F**ker)—and while this isn’t an “official” belt, it’s launched Masvidal into the upper echelon of MMA superstars.
Jorge’s Politics Reflect His Family’s History
As Masvidal continued to grow his career, a lot of people may have been surprised when they found out that Masvidal is a Conservative and Trump supporter. He points towards his father’s experience living under the Cuban communist regime, which showed him the truth of conservative values versus the true evil of the far Left.
Masvidal very clearly supports Trump, and Trump is one of his fans too. The president even gave him a shoutout during a South Florida appearance
That’s why came as no surprise when Donald Trump Jr. had a campaign event in South Florida and Jorge Masvidal got involved.
The event was held at Masvidal’s home gym of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, and while there were a lot of people there to see Junior, the true start of the event was “Gamebred” himself.
The appearance was highlighted by Masvidal saying a few words to the people who were in attendance—and as you can expect, Masvidal came exactly as advertised.
In his speech, he hit the Democrats with a hard truth bomb—and it’s going to be a while before they recover.
With all the swagger of the BMF titleholder, Masvidal said, “I’m going to let you in on something… the Democrats just think that they’re entitled to the Latino vote. They think that we just have to hand it over to them.”
At this, the crowd booed, so Jorge continued, “That’s right… we sure as hell don’t. Asimimo, asimimo [Spanish for “likewise”]. They gotta show us what they can do for us. What they can do for our communities. We’re not going to buy the same wolf tickets and false promises that destroyed great countries like Venezuela and Cuba. It’s not gonna happen. You know what else is not going to work for them? Playing ‘Despacito’ on your cellphone to pander to us.”
Remember, that’s what Joe Biden awkwardly did when he visited Miami a few weeks ago. It made the entire world cringe, and obviously, Miami Latinos understood what was happening there.
Democrats… Listen Up!
Gamebred continued, “Hell, no. You’ve got to give us some credit for having heads on our shoulders. I’m going to wrap this up with some words of Barack Obama…”
The crowd got a little unruly, but he kept going. “He said, ‘elections have consequences’… that is true. And those words have never been more true than they are today. We either re-elect Trump and keep America great…”
To this, the crowd cheered, as well they should. Trump really has made America great…
“Amen,” Masvidal continued. “Or we let Joe Biden destroy the greatest country the world has ever seen. Now, I’m a professional athlete and I’ve been one for most of my life, so I’ve always seen things through a sports lens. That makes Donald Trump our head coach, and before the global pandemic – we were winning Super Bowls. And when you’re winning Super Bowls – you don’t fire the coach. Doesn’t matter if you don’t like the plays he runs, the players he puts on the field or what he says on Twitter. You sure as hell don’t replace him with another coach that’s been in the business for 47 years at every level – and never won a f**king game.”
Truer words have never been spoken…
You have to love Masvidal for his heart and for his unapologetically American views. The fact that he’s one of my favorite fighters (and has been for years, I’m not some bandwagoner) is just icing on the cake.
The Democrats better be nervous…
And so should Jorge’s next opponent.
