CNN’s Jim Acosta misses Donald Trump. His grandstanding at Trump press conferences was the only thing that made him relevant.

But now that Trump is no longer in office, Acosta lacks purpose and is desperately searching for relevancy.

Acosta and the rest of the media secretly are obsessed with Donald Trump. Trump completes them, and without him they are worthless, as evidenced by across-the-board ratings declines since Trump left office.

Acosta told CNN’s ironically and hilariously named “Reliable Sources”— hosted by fake journalist Brian Stelter—that he was suffering from post-Trump stress disorder.

Just because Trump isn’t in the White House doesn’t mean that Trump derangement syndrome has gone away.

And unlike COVID, there is still no vaccine for TDS.

Acosta said, “When you asked me if I was run down, I was wondering if you were asking me how I felt during the Trump era. I think we’re all dealing with some post-Trump stress disorder.”

He continued, “There are questions about why aren’t Republicans getting on board with these Biden proposals. There were Republicans getting on board with overturning the election just a couple of months ago, so we shouldn’t have high expectations for that. But in terms of stacking shows and what comes first, what comes second, Brian, you and I both know this all too well. We did cover the news before Donald Trump came along, and we did it pretty well. There’s going to be plenty of stuff in the news put there, and it doesn’t have to have Donald Trump in the headlines for us to continue to exist.”

He added, “When he was president, he was doing things that were beneath the audience of the presidency. Now he’s doing things beneath the office of the post-presidency. He’s not going to change, but we need to change with the times.”

Aww…poor Jim. (Que the Celine Dion “Titanic” song here.)

Acosta’s network CNN has seen its ratings decline steeply since Trump left the White House. No wonder Acosta has post-Trump stress disorder. They miss the days of the Trump presidency when their ratings weren’t abysmal.

Daily Wire reported last month, “CNN has lost about a million nightly viewers on average since President Donald Trump left the White House, and the liberal network is drawing nearly 50% fewer viewers in the key 24-54 age group, according to a new report.

‘CNN averaged 2.5 million primetime viewers from Nov. 4, the day following the presidential election, through Inauguration Day on Jan. 20. But viewers fled the liberal network once President Biden took office, and CNN has averaged only 1.6 million primetime viewers from Jan. 21 through March 15,” Fox reported.

‘CNN’s viewership during the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET dropped 36% since Biden took office after it spiked following Election Day.’”

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim Acosta as he seeks treatment for the yet uncurable post-Trump stress disorder.

He’s going to need those prayers…how will his heart go on?
