CNN’s Jim Acosta misses Donald Trump more than he cares to admit. His grandstanding at Trump press conferences was the only thing that made him relevant.
But now that Trump is no longer in office, Acosta lacks purpose and is desperately searching for relevancy.
Acosta and the rest of the media secretly are obsessed with Donald Trump. Trump completes them, and without him they are struggling to find a reason for their existence.
This is evidenced by across-the-board ratings declines at every major news network since Trump left office.
And now, likey in a desperate attempt to get attention from the object of his affections, Acosta is comparing Trump to…wait for it…Adolf Hitler.
How original of him.
Acosta needs to interview some of the surviving Holocaust victims and then think twice about that statement.
He can’t seriously call himself a journalist.
The Daily Wire reported the following:
“Prosecutors should consider arresting former President Donald Trump for allegedly trying to initiate an ‘administrative coup, if not a bloody coup’ and ‘acting like an Adolf Hitler,’ said CNN’s Jim Acosta on Wednesday night’s episode of ‘Cuomo Prime Time.’
‘I think, arguably, Donald Trump committed crimes on the way to January 6th,’ Acosta told host Chris Cuomo. ‘Is anything going to be done about it? Why have we not had this conversation in this country?’
‘I think it’s a critical question, Chris, whether or not the former president of the United States belongs in the slammer for what he did between the election and January 6th,’ Acosta said…
‘Donald Trump was behaving like an Adolf Hitler, who was potentially looking to overthrow the government.’”
What is with the Left and hyperbole? They are so dramatic.
Just this week, Joe Biden said he totally wasn’t using hyperbole and then proceeded to make the blatantly hyperbolic statement that Republican election laws were the greatest threat to democracy since the Civil War.
Vice President Kamala Harris also couldn’t help herself this week. She compared the cowardly Texas Democrats who fled Texas to Frederick Douglas, who was an actual escaped slave.
So, it would seem that Jim Acosta is in good company.
Acosta previously admitted to suffering from post-Trump stress disorder.
The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem, so good for Jim
In April, Acosta told CNN’s ironically and hilariously named “Reliable Sources”— hosted by alleged journalist Brian Stelter—that he was suffering from post-Trump stress disorder.
Just because Trump isn’t in the White House doesn’t mean that Trump derangement syndrome has gone away.
And unlike COVID, there is still no vaccine for TDS.
Acosta said, “When you asked me if I was run down, I was wondering if you were asking me how I felt during the Trump era. I think we’re all dealing with some post-Trump stress disorder.”
He continued, “There are questions about why aren’t Republicans getting on board with these Biden proposals. There were Republicans getting on board with overturning the election just a couple of months ago, so we shouldn’t have high expectations for that. But in terms of stacking shows and what comes first, what comes second, Brian, you and I both know this all too well. We did cover the news before Donald Trump came along, and we did it pretty well. There’s going to be plenty of stuff in the news put there, and it doesn’t have to have Donald Trump in the headlines for us to continue to exist.”
Poor Jim Acosta. He is lonely. Hopefully there is a cure developed for TDS before it’s too late.
But in the meantime, he’ll just have to keep suffering.
