After witnessing the political madness of the last four years, nothing would shock me at this point—not even powerful Leftists plotting attacks on industries they despise. While that’s just a small conspiracy theory for now, it seems awfully strange that suddenly, ransomware hackers would target the Colonial Pipeline, one of the East Coast’s main sources of oil gas, and just weeks later, target JBS, one of the world’s largest meat producers.

JBS has shut down many of its beef slaughterhouses in the United States and around the globe due to a cyberattack on its computer systems over the weekend, Washington Examiner reported.

Of course, the White House unsurprisingly says the attacks originated from—you guessed it— Russia.

“JBS notified the administration that the ransom demand came from a criminal organization, likely based in Russia,” White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Tuesday, according to The Hill.

“The White House is engaging directly with the Russian government on this matter, and delivering the message that responsible states do not harbor ransomware criminals,” she continued.

Jean-Pierre said the White House has reached out to JBS to offer assistance. The Department of Agriculture has warned other meat producers against heightened threat of cyberattacks.

JBS reportedly warned in a statement that because the widespread attack hit servers in North America and Australia, some orders could see delays, raising concerns about food security.

Given that both the oil/gas industry and the concept of eating meat have been under attack by the Left in the first months of the Biden Administration, it begs the question: Are these attacks planned and coordinated for political gain?

Admittedly, there is no existing evidence to make the connection between the cyberattacks and the Left. But, this may be an idea worth exploring as it seems convenient that two of its most disliked industries have been hit back-to-back by cyberattacks from Russia, the Left’s favorite scapegoat.

How convenient for them.
