Gestapo tactics…

There’s really no other way to describe the way that Liberal-run social media and news sites are treating conservatives – especially when those conservatives support Donald Trump.

We’ve seen it across the board…

Even the popular, Millennial-based news channel Vice did an expose showing how content for conservatives wasn’t actually reaching the target audience on multiple different social media platforms.

Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have been blocking, banning, or shadow-banning conservative content – regardless of whether the post crosses lines of decency or not.

The more that conservatives get silenced on these platforms…

The more they look for alternatives to share their ideologies and enter into debate.

One of the online forums where many conservatives have taken refuge is news collective site Reddit.

A Place Our Voices Can Be Heard

Reddit is an incredible resource for news…

It has some of the most interesting stories you’ve never read from sites and people you’ve never heard of, and it’s been a place that conservatives could go to share their own ideas and stories without fear of reprisal—other than from the occasional troll that looks for a digital confrontation.

Understand, in order to have a confrontation with a conservative on Reddit, you’d have to search out a conservative sub-Reddit. That’s how Reddit is set up; you join sub-Reddits—or communities—focused on subjects that you like…and there’s a sub-Reddit for almost EVERYTHING.

If you like cars, or chimpanzees, or pictures of cityscapes – there’s a sub-Reddit for you…

And since conservatives can create their own communities – we thought we would be safe from the screaming matches that tend to explode on other social media sites.

That is…

Until Liberals and Leftists started seeking out these sub-Reddit communities just to create more conflict with the users there.

Which is fine by most conservatives – we give as good as we get…

However, the Left doesn’t. They get their feelings hurt easily and report the person that offended them to Reddit—and when a sub-Reddit gets enough complaints, they disband that community.

Well, one of the more popular subs on Reddit has been a community called The Donald. (www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald)

With a name like “The Donald”, you can guess what this sub-Reddit is all about…

However, even though the Leftist trolls would have to intentionally seek out this sub in order to have any interaction with anybody in it, a report is a report in the eyes of the company – and since The Donald has reached its threshold of complaints, it’s about to be disbanded.

The Unfair End Of An Era

If you go there now, at the top of the page, you get the following message:

Community Quarantined

This community is quarantined: It is restricted due to significant issues with reporting and addressing violations of Reddit’s rules against violence and other aspects of the Content Policy. As a visitor or member, you can help moderators maintain the community by reporting and downvoting rule-breaking content.

So, because this community was targeted by Leftists – it’s going to be 86’d.

Is that legal?

100% – Reddit has EVERY right to disband whatever sub they wish…

But is it right? Is it FAIR?

Of course not…

It’s not fair – but as my mom used to tell me as a teenager when I would say my punishment was unfair, she’d remind me, “Well… the world isn’t fair.”

Is there anything we can do?

Sure…

We can make a stink. We can write Reddit and let them know that we find The Donald sub-Reddit to be extremely important and we don’t want it to be banned.

But will it matter?

Probably not…

We’re stuck in a cycle of Liberalism where conservative views and voices get hidden or muted.

However…

That doesn’t mean we should stand for it.

Go ahead… write

Here… we’ll make it easy: https://www.reddithelp.com/en/submit-request

Let them know how you feel…

It may not change a thing – but it very well may. Let your voice be heard and maybe it’ll ensure OTHER conservative voiced can be heard as well.

It’s worth a shot!
