In what was supposed to be a House Judiciary hearing on “hate crimes,” Congressional Democrats tried to paint black conservative voice, Candace Owens, as a Hitler-supporting maniac. Their coordinated attack on Ms. Owens may have shown what the Left actually thinks about black America. Too bad for them — she absolutely demolished their racist narrative.
God bless Candace Owens…
She continues to be a force of good, a force for the conservative voice, and — after showing she gives better than she gets — a force to be reckoned with.
In this one committee meeting, Candace absolutely destroyed the Democrats — even though they came at her with everything they had…
Only proving the simple fact that the Right has been spouting for years: Facts override feelings and emotions.
She called them out on their BS each time they spouted off…
She opened with a gem of a statement, telling Jerry Nadler and his cronies: “The hearing today is not about ‘white nationalism’ or ‘hate crimes.’ It’s about fear-mongering, power, and control. It’s a preview of the 2020 Democratic election strategy … what they want to say is that brown people need to be scared — which seems to be the narrative that we hear every four years, right ahead of a presidential election … White supremacy, racism, white nationalism — words that once held real meaning, have now become nothing more than election strategies.”
And she’s not wrong…
It’s obvious what the Democrats have in store for the 2020 election … They’re going to appeal to fear. They’re going to make people of color afraid of what could happen to them if Trump wins again…
And Owens just put their secret plan out on Front Street.
But that wasn’t the highlight…
Nor was the highlight when she pointed out that the disgusting statistics of poverty and single motherhood rates in the black community were all due to the Left, saying: “My point is that white nationalism did not do any of those things that I just brought up. Democratic policies did.”
Yes, it was a doozy — but it wasn’t the top moment of her appearance before the committee…
It was her absolute destruction of California Democrat, Rep. Ted Lieu.
You Have to Pity Bumbling Fools
In what could only be described as the biggest backfire of the year, Lieu brought into question a statement Candace made about Hitler when she was asked whether she believed nationalism was bad…
His misstep may have sunk the Democrats’ ship.
In the clip, Owens remarks were as follows: “I don’t have any problem at all with the word ‘nationalism’ – I think the definition gets poisoned by elitist that want globalism. Globalism is what I don’t want, so whenever we say ‘nationalism’ the first thing we think about – at least here in America – is Hitler. You know, he was a national socialist, but if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, then ok, fine. The problem is that he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German. He wanted everybody to be speaking German.”
And that’s where Lieu ended the clip.
A few “experts” were called to say that this could be seen as her “legitimizing Hitler” and by doing so, feeding into “white nationalist ideology.”
Never mind that Candace is black.
But it was her rebuttal that came afterwards when Rep. Guy Reschenthaler yielded his time to her as Lieu refused to let her comment back to him — out of fear…
And after you hear her rebuttal, you’ll know why.
Owens’ Utter Destruction of the Democrats
She began: “I think it’s pretty apparent that Mr. Lieu believes that black people are stupid, assuming that they will not pursue the full two-hour clip, and he purposely extracted…”
It was here that Nadler cut her off, saying that, “the witness will not disparage a member of the committee.”
Her response: “Sure, even though I was called ‘despicable.’”
Nadler responded, saying, “The witness may not refer to a member of this committee as ‘stupid.’”
The puzzled look on Owens’ face said it all. “I didn’t refer to him as ‘stupid.’ That’s not what I said. That’s not what I said at all. You didn’t listen to what I said.”
Nadler simply shrugged.
Man, the liberals make it easy. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.
Owens reiterated: “As I said, he’s assuming that black people will not pursue the full two-hour clip, and he purposefully cut off the question that was asked of me. He’s trying to present this as if I were launching a defense of Hitler … when in fact, the question that was asked of me was whether or not that I believed in nationalism and if nationalism is bad. And what I was responding to was that I do not believe we should be characterizing Hitler as a ‘nationalist’ — he was a homicidal, psychopathic maniac that killed his own people. A nationalist would not kill their own people. That is what I was referring to in the clip and he purposefully cut up — similar to what they do to Donald Trump to create a different narrative.”
Way to go, Candace!
That’s how you make them look stupid — you hit them with facts.
But then it was time to rip their guts out.
The Coup de Grace
She continued: “That was unbelievably dishonest and that he did not allow me to respond to it is worrisome and should tell you a lot about where people are today, in terms of trying to drum up narratives. By the way, I would like to also add that I work for Prager University which is run by an orthodox Jew and not one Democrat showed up to the embassy opening in Jerusalem. I sat on a plane for 18 hours to make sure I was there. I’m deeply offended by the insinuation of revealing that clip without the question that was asked of me.”
Lieu just sat there — looking like a villain from a Bond film.
But the look on his face was absolutely priceless. I’m sure if there was hole nearby, Lieu would have jumped in it to get away.
It’s almost uncomfortable to watch the ease with which she makes these Democrats look like bumbling fools…
Proving we’ve got nothing to worry about in 2020.
Good on you, Candace…
Keep fighting the good fight!
