Remember when your favorite movie actors, musicians and TV stars simply entertained us?

It’s been a while, but back in the day, when any of the Hollywood types were asked a question about politics, they politely skirted the answer — and for good reason…

Why, oh why, would you want to alienate half of your fan base?

Because, when it comes to movies, concerts and TV shows, attendance and views matter…

It can be the difference in making a killing at the box office — and losing your shirt.

So, in the past, it was understandable why these people would politely decline any talk of politics.

But … this is 2019. We’re in the Era of the Woke.

For some reason, actors have no problem talking about politics nowadays — going out of their way to show support for their favorite candidates on social media — and worse…

Actively campaigning for said candidate while trying to use their star power to sway votes.

It’s a sickening trend.

Even worse?

It works on the impressionable and weak-minded…

Young people and suggestible people swallow what these people are feeding them — hook, line and sinker.

Why?

Well, the problem is two-fold now…

You have somebody these people look up to — like a Taylor Swift or a George Clooney — and then give them personal access to them over social media, and it gives them the recognition that they crave so much.

“Taylor told me to vote Phil Bredesen over Marsha Blackburn — and she retweeted me!”

This may sound very childish — but have you met any Taylor Swift fans over the age of 30?

But it’s this personal connection that social media gives us in today’s age that makes it truly scary.

Even 20 years ago, you didn’t have the type of access people have today…

But now, these stars have influence over their fans like never before.

They’ll listen to them on almost anything…

From politics to food to clothes — to personal choices, like not eating meat or not wearing leather.

It’s absolutely mind-boggling trying to understand why these mindless zombies follow whatever drivel comes out the mouth of their favorite star because…

What do these actors and musicians even know?

Think about it…

Why listen to Alyssa Milano or Rob Reiner?

What makes them the leading authority on anything, let alone politics?

If I’m ever offered the lead for a show where I play a character named Meathead — then yes, I’d love to hear Rob Reiner’s input…

But when it comes to politics, I’d much rather listen to what an actual expert has to say.

These people know nothing…

Nothing.

They’re like most people on social media: They believe their opinion matters. Except worse: Their opinion carries weight.

It’d be like a general contractor asking for my opinion on how to move electrical wires from one wall to another…

My opinion would mean zilch.

However, leave it to Rob to put his 2 cents out there to influence the weak-willed.

His tweet about Trump’s recent El Paso rally should show you just how much hate this man has toward somebody that he probably has never met:

In the Battle At The Border The Liar is a LOSER! Beto-10-15 thousand. The Liar-6,500. Go back to the WH and your stolen Presidency, turn on FOX, and start tweeting your bulls**t.

Real classy, Rob…

But thanks for proving that you’re not an expert.

And before you ask, no … today’s batch of journalists don’t count.

They’re no experts…

They’re bought and paid for by their masters — people like George Soros, people who will direct the news toward their own agenda rather than the unbiased truth.

It’s absolute lunacy to think that there are people who get their political views from people like Don Lemon, Rachel Maddow and Bill Maher.

Absolute lunacy…

Rachel Maddow still believes that women make “70 cents on the dollar to men.”

But I digress…

What Hollywood really needs to do is shut up.

They need to entertain me, and I’ll keep buying their music or paying to see their movies.

That’s where the transaction needs to end.

You want to get into politics after your time on the silver screen ends? Be my guest. I’ll listen to what you have to say…

But until that day comes, keep your opinions to yourself.
