Is this the changing of the guard we’ve been waiting for?

Are the Black voters in America finally understanding that the Democrats really aren’t accomplishing anything for their community?

If what is happening in Virginia is any indication…that movement may be well underway. As the next gubernatorial election approaches, the African American community of Virginia may be waking up to the fact that Democrats plan was, is, and always will be a plot to hold them down, because without the unwavering support of minority communities…the Democrats would be dead in the water.

Honestly, the fact that minorities tend to lean Democratic is truly a point to ponder.

The Republican Party was founded as the anti-slavery party, so you would think that, of ANY party out there, Black voters would put their support behind the GOP.

That used to be the case. However, the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 shifted the perception of the Democrats and Republicans. Even though the Democrats far outnumbered the Republicans, it was the vast majority of GOP members that supported the bill that finally brought an end to Jim Crow.

It wasn’t the Democrats who ended that evil… it was just a Democrat that signed it into law.

The worst part is that the man who signed the bill into law KNEW what he was doing—and he’s rumored to have said, “These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”

GOP Gets FIRST Ever Black Caucus Endorsement In Virginia

However, after decades of propaganda and misinformation, many on the Left are convinced that the nation saw a grand party switch in the 1960s and 70s after the Civil Rights act was signed, in which all the racist Democrats suddenly registered as Republicans to keep their racist agenda going.

History proves that never happened.

However, the Democrats did a GREAT job making Americans THINK that it happened, and suddenly the support of Black Americans was planted firmly behind the DNC.

The Democrats have taken the Black vote for granted ever since…but that may have been their fatal mistake.

Since its establishment in 2021, Virginia’s Hampton Roads Black Caucus,  has NEVER endorsed a GOP candidate for governor…until now.

The HRBC is backing Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin for the governor of Virginia in the upcoming election, breaking the longstanding ties with Democrats that even included the 2017 race, during which the caucus endorsed Democrat Ralph Northam, who wound up winning the election.

However, in 2021, they’re firmly behind Youngkin, choosing the GOP candidate over the DNC’s frontrunner, former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, who is running for a second, non-consecutive term.

During an interview with the National Review, HRBC President Ron Taylor explained the decision.

“Some people may have taken our endorsement for granted, and didn’t show up, or didn’t fill out the survey,” Taylor said. “And some people said ‘well since you don’t want to take our organization serious, I’m not going to vote for you. I know Mr. Youngkin, every opportunity that we afforded him, he took advantage of it… he was trying to leave no stone unturned.”

As the Black community has pointed out time and time again, the DNC has left them holding the bag after promising them changes that will help their communities.

If you remember, rapper Ice Cube said much the same thing back during the 2020 runup. Trump actually met with him to hear about the Black community’s concerns, laying out concrete steps for improvement…meanwhile, Biden’s people said, “let’s wait till after the election.”

Do you think they ever got that meeting?

Odds are, McAuliffe simply EXPECTED the Black Caucus’ support – which may be why he saw courting them as a waste of time. He never responded to the group’s questions and never even sent a surrogate to any of the caucus’ events.

Why They’re Going With Youngkin

However, as I said, Black voters are beginning to understand that the Left isn’t their friend—something that Malcolm X pointed out decades ago.

Taylor further explained their support of Youngkin when he said, “If your house is on fire, sir, you call 911, right? And two fire engines show up and both of them out there arguing about what fire extinguishing agent they’re going to use to put out the fire, and nothing is being done but your house is burning up, you going to say ‘what is going on here? Why are y’all not getting this thing done? My house is burning, my livelihood.’ In the African-American community, that’s what some of them are feeling, that our community is burning down and no one is doing anything.”

This idea harkens back to Trump’s impassioned plea, “Vote for me… what do you have to lose?”

The Black community is tired of empty promises, and so, they’re flipping the script and creating a NEW future for themselves. They’ve already seen how backing the DNC plays out.

Hopefully, this will be something that is contagious and other minority communities understand that the wool has been pulled over their eyes for decades.

Regardless, we’ll find out soon if their endorsement is enough to get the GOP a win in Virginia.

Then, all of America will know the political power that the Black community holds – which will be incredible for our democracy going forward.

“The white liberal differs from the white conservative in one way. The liberal is more deceitful and hypocritical than the conservatives. Both want power. But, the white liberal has perfected the art of posing as the negro’s friend and benefactor.” – Malcolm X
