The Democrats want the American public to believe in their fairytale plan to save the world from certain destruction at the hands of climate change.

By now, you have undoubtedly heard of the train-wreck commonly referred to as “The Green New Deal.”

It should come as no shock that the plan—assuming it ever managed to make it through Congress—would be expensive. The plan will literally cost some states over a quadrillion dollars. And yes, a quadrillion is an actual number, not some term meant to embellish the actual price tag of the GND.

Here’s The Deal…

In case you forgot the details of the utopian climate legislation, here is a refresher:

The Green New Deal was introduced by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey. It is a 10-year plan to transform the economy into a government centrally-planned economy. The 10-year plan resembles the old Soviet Union’s five-year plans. (Joseph Stalin would be proud.)

At least some form of the Green New Deal has been endorsed by all the leading Democratic presidential candidates.

The Green New Deal calls for the elimination of all fossil fuel energy in the United States. This includes oil and natural gas. This action alone would lead to a dismantling of the American economy. Most of our energy is produced using fossil fuels; millions of jobs would be eliminated if we stopped the production of those sources of energy.

The GND would also eliminate all cars, planes, boats, and trucks to cut down on pollution.

For no discernible reason, the plan states that the government will provide “healthy food” to everyone and eliminate meat. (No more cow farts to release methane gas.)

There are other provisions in the legislation that have nothing to do with climate change.

The government would provide guaranteed jobs that include “a family-sustaining wage, family and medical leave, and vacations and a pension.”

The government would provide education, housing, and income to those who are “unwilling or unable” to work. If you’re lazy and don’t want to work, don’t worry about: The people who work will pay for you to sit on the couch and binge on Netflix in your government-provided house.

You can’t make this stuff up!

And if you like your house, too bad, you can’t keep it. Every house and commercial building in America would be torn down and redesigned to be more “energy-efficient.”

The Democrats that support this legislation have gone insane. This plan is absolutely crazy. It’s nothing but a socialist wet dream; the Dems use the façade of climate change to sneak in the rest of their socialist agenda.

Nothing’s Free…

As you can imagine, this plan isn’t going to be cheap.

In fact, it will cost a quadrillion dollars. That is not a typo!

Fox News reported on a study performed by the Competitive Enterprise Institute. They wrote, “the study found that the battleground state of Pennsylvania would face over $2 quadrillion in costs for upgrading residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Florida would encounter a $1.4 quadrillion price tag, and New Hampshire, one of the first primary states, would face a $102. 8 trillion in retrofitting costs.”

In-case you are unfamiliar with how large a number a quadrillion is the article explains that “a quadrillion, which is equal to one thousand trillion, is represented by a 1 followed by 15 zeroes. One quadrillion would be roughly 250 times the annual federal budget.”

That number helps put in perspective the craziness of the Democrats.

The reported costs in Alaska and New Hampshire would be much higher than the national debt. ($352.8 trillion for New Mexico and $533.4 trillion for Alaska.)

Someone should explain to AOC that money doesn’t just grow on trees. While you’re at it, tell her unicorns and magic aren’t real either.

You would have to believe in all the above to think the Green New Deal is remotely feasible.
