What is happening in our great nation?

What happened to the notion of free speech?

How did we go from the country that defended your right to say whatever you wanted (short of a call for violence) to making up ways to ensure that anybody with opposing viewpoints can’t be heard?

It’s a true shame — especially when it comes right after celebrating the 75th anniversary of D-Day and the sacrifices that brave men made for the freedoms of future generations of Americans.

But that’s where we are…

Americans have had it so good for so long that they’ve forgotten to be EVER-vigilant in the defense of liberty. Otherwise, we’re in danger of losing it.

There are forces at work that are slowly, but surely, trying to take these freedoms away from us…

And the Left is doing its best to acquiesce to those who are calling for the removal of freedoms that have been ours, by RIGHT, since the signing of the U.S. Constitution.

Bill of Rights: Under Attack

The ongoing attacks on the Second Amendment were to be expected…

The widespread news coverage of mass shootings has created an atmosphere of fear that surrounds the tools that murderers use in their killing sprees.

Instead of blaming the person, people want to blame the tool…

It’s wrong — but understandable.

So when they continually talk about disarming Americans because of these mass killings … it’s expected.

What nobody ever expected was for these same people to attack the First Amendment.

There’s an argument that the First Amendment is the most important part of the Bill of Rights — that without it, the rest of the Amendments don’t really matter.

Regardless of whether that’s true or not, the fact remains that, as far as inalienable rights are concerned, it’s definitely at the top of the list.

Which makes the fact that people want it taken away so weird.

You may have heard of the mess that happened recently with prominent conservative voice Steven Crowder when his YouTube channel was demonetized (meaning that his channel will no longer receive any of the revenue generated from the ads that play before his videos).

Luckily, they avoided getting suspended or banned, but that doesn’t mean that WON’T happen eventually…

Especially if Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, has anything to say about it.

YouTube Doesn’t Care About Their OWN Rules!

Google is the parent company of YouTube — the most popular video streaming site on the planet. They’re in control of the content on their site and get to make the rules as to what is or is NOT considered “offensive”, “bullying”, or “hate speech.”

However, now it seems as though the actual content of the video doesn’t even MATTER…

As Pichai recently revealed that they’ll now remove content even if it DOESN’T violate any of their rules or terms and conditions.

In a recent interview, Pichai said: “Look, we aren’t quite where we want to be, Google rank[s] content based on quality. And so we are bringing that same notion and approach to YouTube so that we can rank higher-quality stuff better and really prevent borderline content.”

Borderline content?

What could be considered “borderline”?

When pressed, Pichai answered that question, saying: “Content which doesn’t exactly violate policies, which need to be removed, but which can still cause harm.”

So, now you’re in danger of getting your content pulled even if you haven’t broken a rule?

This shouldn’t be allowed to stand…

This is an absolute violation of their OWN rules and allows them to arbitrarily decide which content is offensive and which is not.

Seeing as more conservative voices get banned than liberal ones, do you see that trend reversing? Or ramping up?

This is an UNFAIR business practice…

And should be considered discrimination.

They’re trying to silence the conservative viewpoint, first by removing the prominent voices, and now by not giving us the same platform as the liberals.

As much as it pains us to say this…

It may be time for the government to step in.

It’s the only thing that can protect our rights going forward…
