The so-called experts and many government officials have told us that we aren’t going to return to normal any time soon. According to them, we are going to have to continue to wear masks and social distance until the end of time.
Dr. Anthony Fauci—the most overrated public official in the modern era—has said that we won’t return to normal until possibly next winter.
The Good Doctor has changed his mind so many times that he might amend that tomorrow and say we will be forced to lockdown until the end of times. When the Rapture happens, then and only then will COVID restrictions be lifted.
But Fauci and his fellow “experts” aren’t telling us the whole story. There is actually good news on the COVID front that they are conveniently omitting. Could it possibly be because they want us to remain locked down forever? It is easier for them to control us if we remain locked down, after all.
Marty Makary wrote the following for the Wall Street Journal:
“Amid the dire COVID warnings, one crucial fact has been largely ignored: Cases are down 77% over the past six weeks. If a medication slashed cases by 77%, we’d call it a miracle pill. Why is the number of cases plummeting much faster than experts predicted?
In large part because natural immunity from prior infection is far more common than can be measured by testing. Testing has been capturing only from 10% to 25% of infections, depending on when during the pandemic someone got the virus. Applying a time-weighted case capture average of 1 in 6.5 to the cumulative 28 million confirmed cases would mean about 55% of Americans have natural immunity.”
Then Makary makes the following prediction:
“There is reason to think the country is racing toward an extremely low level of infection. As more people have been infected, most of whom have mild or no symptoms, there are fewer Americans left to be infected. At the current trajectory, I expect COVID will be mostly gone by April, allowing Americans to resume normal life.”
Well, that seems like good news, doesn’t it? We can finally get back to normal. As of this writing I am not aware that Dr. Fauci has cited this data, and he probably won’t.
If Makary’s prediction comes true, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dr. Fauci take credit for the end of the pandemic. After all, he seems awfully sure of himself.
Fauci is the greatest thing to happen since sliced bread. In the eyes of the media, there has never been a doctor as good as him.
It isn’t just Dr. Fauci who have been failing to level with us, though. Democrat governors from Cuomo to Newsom to Whitmer aren’t telling their residents this information either.
They don’t want to lose their stranglehold over the lives of residents in their states. There can be no other explanation that I can think of.
Well, regardless of what they say or don’t say, we appear to have turned the corner on COVID and the end is in sight.
And that is good news indeed.
