I’m a living weapon…
I know that sounds weird to say but at 6’1” and 280 pounds, I’m rather large to say the least. And while there is plenty of “cushion” that envelops this meaty carriage, I’ve also got plenty of quality muscle that has been built up in over 30 years of weight training.
On top of, that I’m a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, possibly the most practical martial art on the planet, so you’re looking at a dangerous person to 99% of the population.
As I said, a living weapon.
Now, can you guess how many street fights I’ve been in my 47 years on this planet?
Take a guess…
Well, whatever number you just thought of was wrong. I can proudly say I’ve been in ZERO street fights. Not a single one (outside of the brawls I broke up when I worked as a bouncer).
Because I truly believe diplomacy is the better course of action. Not that I’m afraid of violence, I rightly believe that violence should be the very last resort in any conflict. I’ve seen lives irreparably altered due to violence and I don’t want that kind of weight laying on my conscience.
Honestly, there are very few things that scare me enough to kick my “flight” response into gear.
A few years ago, my wife and I went on vacation to Tennessee. We cooked bacon that morning with the windows open, which brought an unwelcome “visitor” into the house.
That visitor was a sizeable black bear, and he actually walked INTO the house and pulled the garbage out to root through it on the back porch. Craziest thing I’d ever seen in my life.
Now, while most people were FREAKED out in that situation—including my wife, who was VERY close to having a panic attack—I was cool as a cucumber and was actually laughing about it the whole time. I was about 10 feet away from the bear, trying to get him out of the house while my wife and my dog jumped in our car.
It was an amazing experience, and I took a video of the aftermath once I got the sliding glass door closed.
As I said, it takes a LOT to scare me…
What Scares Me… And What Should Scare ALL Of Us
Everything that’s been going on—all the sickness, protests, riots, looting, and murder that’s happening around our country, with promises of more to come if Trump wins the elections—none of that scares me.
What does scare me is what will happen when the scales tip overwhelmingly in the Right’s favor somewhere down the line. What can happen in a society where we control the media and have the perceived power should make us all a little fearful.
Because right now, that’s what the Left has: “perceived power”—and while it’s not REAL power, as the adage goes, “power perceived is power achieved”.
The Left has perceived power, but right now they’re too weak to actually understand how to wield it.
They don’t have the right mindset to take the power they have and run with it. They expect people to just bend the knee simply because they think their side has the moral high ground.
However, there are some fringe elements of the Left that DO understand the power they have and how to use it, and we’ve seen instances of this all over the news. These people keep pushing the boundaries, constantly crossing the line with their “activism.”
The late great Charlie Murphy would call them “habitual line crossers.”
See, it’s the pushing of boundaries that is scaring me, because while the Left is made up of weak-minded and weak-willed children living in their mom’s basement…
The Right is made up of men and women—strong men and women—who know what power is and know how to wield it.
Waking The Sleeping Giant
What scares me is the HARSH rebound that will eventually happen before things swing back into some sort of equilibrium.
What scares me isn’t radical Leftists…
What scares me are angry, fed-up Conservatives who are sick of having crap heaped upon their shoulders
Conservatives who aren’t going to take weak individuals screaming in their faces…
Conservatives who aren’t going to allow these mobs to destroy our cities and burn our businesses to the ground…
What scares me is the ACTIVATED patriot who is willing to cross those same lines and stay crossed over—all with the aim to bring America back to some semblance of order.
THAT is what scares me…
And the Left is getting close to making that fear a reality.
Like the Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the man who planned the attack on Pearl Harbor, wrote in his diary about America, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”
That is what the Left is doing…
They’re waking a sleeping giant and filling him with terrible resolve.
But you reap what you sow in this world…
And if the Left isn’t careful, they’ll be reaping more than they bargained for—and it makes me sad for America.
