As somebody who values logic, I can’t stand conspiracy theories.

Now, I find them entertaining, of course, but for the most part, they’re so far-fetched and out of left field (no pun intended) that I can’t help but shake my head and wonder if the people who create them just have too much time on their hands.

It’s one thing to believe that aliens were the impetus to creating humankind, but it’s quite another to believe that Earth is flat and that the Illuminati want to hide this fact from us in order to keep us under control.

One is at least somewhat believable…the other sounds like the ravings of a lunatic.

However, sometimes, when you start recognizing patterns in things, you start to see the threads that connect ideas—even those of the far-fetched variety—and it paints a picture too compelling to ignore.

For example, take the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, I’m not saying the pandemic is a conspiracy theory because COVID-19 is a very real virus…

But that’s not to say that things weren’t blown out of proportion by the American Left to hurt Donald Trump’s chances at re-election. Inflated numbers, constant attacks, and tracking of false numbers really hurt our former president at the polls.

He even told us it would happen when he called it the Democrats’ “new hoax.”

And then look what happened! It was barely a WEEK after Biden was sworn in when Dem governors like Gavin Newsom and Andrew Cuomo were already talking about re-opening for business.

It’s Not About Safety…It’s About Power

Taken together, it’s hard not to see the way this pandemic was covered was designed to remove Trump from power.

That being said…

There may be another conspiracy transpiring against another strong Conservative – and the perpetrators of this conspiracy are using a very similar playbook as those who were working against Trump.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been one of the shining stars of the pandemic response effort.

He may not have an Emmy like the death-dealing Andrew Cuomo, but he kept his word and reopened Florida after the March lockdowns, and he kept his state open while states like Michigan, New York, and California have fined and even jailed business owners for reopening their doors.

Florida has been doing fine…

And while it’s one of the most populated states in the union, its death per capita is in the bottom half of the statistics.

DeSantis should be praised by his peers, and people like Biden should have been looking to him for advice and guidance…but it seems they have a different plan in mind.

It looks like the Deep State isn’t happy with DeSantis’ success, and to make him look bad, they are going to try to hit the citizens of his state where it hurts: in their bank accounts.

It’s been reported that the Biden administration is considering imposing domestic travel restrictions to Florida, basing their decision on the high number of cases of one of the variant strains of COVID-19.

My colleagues Ryan James and Grace Saldana have both written about this in the past few days—see below for links to their writeups—and while they’ve reported the facts and given their views, neither have looked at it as an attack on DeSantis in order to weaken his popularity among his constituents.

But what if it is?

DeSantis told reporters, “Any attempt to restrict or lock down Florida by the federal government would be an attack on our state done purely for political purposes. I think it’s an absurd report that they would be doing that, I think it would be unconstitutional, it would be unwise and it would be unjust.”

And he’s right…

But the fact is, these people don’t care about the Constitution and will continue to push this disgusting display of authoritarianism because they want to stamp out Conservatism wherever it thrives…

And it’s thriving in Florida.

The Left Can’t Stand Conservative Success

They can’t stand the success that DeSantis has had, because he’s done so by throwing everything the Democrats have done and said back in their faces – and has helped keep his state both thriving and safe.

So, if his policies are doing that…if people are running and moving to Florida in droves because of the freedom and opportunity that it offers…then the best thing that the Deep State could do would be to stop people from being able to go there.

This would impact Florida hard, and lost revenue would be felt from the bottom up—and as we saw with what happened to Trump, it’s a successful strategy.

So, is it beyond the realm of possibility that they’ll try to employ this against DeSantis?

Does that make it a conspiracy theory?

Or does it mean that we’re seeing the same patterns play out on a smaller scale?

Either way, it’s something we should be keeping an eye on—because if it can happen in Florida, it can happen ANYWHERE.
