Can’t people just sit back and enjoy a good movie or TV show without interjecting politics or social justice into entertainment?
Social Justice Warriors are obsessed with having diversity just for diversity’s sake. They don’t believe in a merit-based system. Instead, they believe in affirmative action programs that put more value on one’s race and gender than on their abilities and accomplishments.
A couple of years ago, a hashtag campaign was started to protest the lack of black actors nominated for Academy Awards. The hashtag campaign was titled #OscarsSoWhite, and it eventually pressured the academy to nominate a slate of black actors the next year. It was apparent that many of them were selected for their race instead of their performance.
This diversity obsession has infected nearly every institute of society; whether it be entertainment, sports, government, or academia, the Left has forced their social justice message on all of us.
The Left betrays the moral message of Dr. Martin Luther King, who asked us to judge people by the “content of their character” and not the “color of their skin.”
On the gender front, fourth-wave feminists are imposing unrealistic expectations on society and are seeking to destroy “the patriarchy.” The first wave feminists had good reason to be upset with the state of society. They weren’t allowed to work in professions that male-dominated and they were denied the right to vote.
To any feminist who is reading this, I ask you this: What rights don’t you have today?
There are plenty of countries—most notably in the Middle East—where women are truly repressed. The fact that American feminists complain about the non-existent subjugation of women in this country is an insult to those women around the world that are truly suffering.
If those feminists want to speak out in defense of women in the Middle East, I will join with them. However, they appear to be incapable of doing so.
Feminists are now targeting the new streaming service Disney+ for not casting more women in their hit show “Star Wars: The Mandalorian.”
The show is set in the Star Wars universe, and follows the adventures of a bounty-hunter known as “the Mandalorian.” However, because the only main character is male, feminists were outraged.
Feminist media critic Anita Sarkeesian tweeted, “Am I extremely tired or is there not a single female character in the first episode of #Mandalorian?? I’ve gotta have missed something right???”

If Sarkeesian would have waited for the next two episodes of the series, she would have been introduced to new female characters.
Also, the director of the latest episode of the series is a woman.
The Daily Wire reported, “The Mandalorian’s” cast list is also a whos-who of powerful Hollywood women. Gina Carano joins the cast in Friday’s upcoming episode as a fellow bounty hunter named “Cara Dune” — a role that is credited as a “co-starring” role. The show will also reportedly feature Marvel leading lady Ming Na-Wen as an assassin and Bryce Dallas Howard in an as-yet-unannounced role.”
This a classic example of a feminist and SJW reading social injustice into everything. She had already pre-judged the show without waiting to see if more characters were introduced.
Now, she has egg on her face. As feminists often do.
