Finally, special counsel John Durham is getting to work charging people for their involvement in the FBI spying operation that targeted Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Durham’s investigation had gone quiet publicly and it made one wonder what, if anything, he and his team were up to.

Well, now we know what they’ve been working on.

Last week, Durham indicted Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman on one count of lying to the FBI.

Sussman passed along information to the FBI’s top lawyer, James Baker, that was obtained from an unnamed tech executive who had access to non-public digital information that purported to show connections between a Russian bank and the Trump organization.

The information was later proven to be false.

Sussman lied to the FBI, claiming that he was just a good Samaritan who was doing God’s work by bringing the FBI information that implicated the Trump campaign and proved possible collusion with Russia.

The Washington Examiner reported, “Special counsel John Durham logged a second indictment in his investigation of the Trump-Russia investigators on Thursday.

A grand jury returned a 26-page indictment charging Michael Sussmann,  a lawyer for Perkins Coie who had worked on behalf of Democratic clients numerous times, with intentionally lying to the FBI’s top lawyer in September 2016 about who he was working for when he passed along controversial allegations of secret communications between Russia’s Alfa Bank and the Trump Organization.”

Writing for National Review, Andrew McCarthy summed up the indictment and its implications this way:

“In a nutshell, then, people closely connected to the Clinton campaign use privileged access to nonpublic information for political purposes. They concoct it into a political narrative that they know is baseless but can be convincingly spun to suggest Trump is in cahoots with Putin. They then simultaneously peddle that story line to the media and the FBI — the latter of which opens an investigation of Trump because the Clinton team, in this instance Sussmann, misrepresents its intentions.”

Oh, how convenient. Mr. Sussman just happened to fail to mention that he represented the Clinton campaign. Just a slight oversight. Nothing to see here.

Well, Durham and his team disagree and have now charged Sussman for his dishonesty.

Sussman was representing the Clinton campaign, which set in motion the ludicrous conspiracy theory that the Trump campaign was actively colluding with the Russians to influence the outcome of the 2016 campaign.

In addition to the debunked information claiming a tie between the Trump organization and Russia, the Clinton campaign paid for the fraudulent Steele dossier that was used as evidence to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.

This is the Swamp at its swampiest. The available evidence points towards a Deep State plot to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump before it had even started.

The Clinton campaigned hatched the plot, and the Obama DOJ carried out the spying operation.

But of course, there is no way that then-President Obama knew anything about the spying operation against the Republican nominee for president…right?

If you believe that I have a life insurance policy to sell you.

The plot thickens and makes one wonder: What will be the next domino to fall in the sinister Democrat plot to unseat Donald Trump?

Stay tuned.
