Growing up, I was told a lot about the French…

Not a lot of it was good.

Mostly it had to do with their propensity for quitting and surrendering when the going gets tough. So, for years, I equated the French to having very little intestinal fortitude…

Or “guts,” as we’d commonly call it.

Well, I recently threw caution to the wind, put my DNA in an international database, and had them identify my ethnic heritage…

And you can imagine my surprise when this kid found out he was more of a mutt than he thought. Mixed in with the Italian, German, and Scottish that I always knew about, my blood also carries markers for English, Irish, Northern European, Norwegian, Swedish…

And French.

I was shocked to find out my DNA heritage includes 9% French blood…

But what are you gonna do? I roll with the punches and resigned myself to the fact that I’m 9% quitter.

I kid!

I love the French (now, at least) and when you think about it, if it weren’t for France’s help during the Revolutionary War, there may never have been an independent country of America.

However, some of that latent negativity about the French creeps back in every once in a while…

And French President Emmanuel Macron isn’t helping.

Little Man Syndrome

The fact that his own country is rebelling against his globalist policies should be telling…

Rising fuel prices and a high cost of living are directly due to the fact that disproportionate tax reforms passed by Macron were being mostly shouldered by the working and middle classes.

The people of France have been calling for his resignation for the past year…

With the protests really not stopping.

So, of course, Trump hasn’t taken too kindly to Macron’s criticism of Trump’s pulling out of troops from Syria.

Not only that, but Macron told the Economist that he believes that Europe is facing “the brain death of NATO” – questioning Trump’s policies and saying that Europe can no longer rely on the United States to defend NATO allies.

So what did he think was going to happen when he and Trump met face to face?

Niceties? Handshakes and hugs?

No…

Once you attack Trump, you’re going to feel the wrath – and Trump unleashed on Macron in front of the world.

Trump Let’s French Leader And NATO Have It

“I think that’s insulting to a lot of different forces,” Trump said. “You just can’t go around making statements like that about NATO. It’s very disrespectful.”

And then Trump laid into France and the other NATO members for not paying their fair share of the burden.

“You could make the case that they’ve been delinquent for 25-30 years,” Trump said, after talks with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. He added that the figure of 2% “is a very low number, it really should be 4.”

Of course, like the guy that always invites himself to dinner but never reaches for his wallet, Macron doesn’t want to talk about money…

Macron insisted ahead of the meeting that the endless spending debate should be set aside so that NATO can focus on “important strategic questions” like who its real enemies are, how to improve ties with Russia and what to do with an unpredictable ally like Turkey.

It’s ridiculous.

And it’s really not surprising that the anti-Trumpers have latched onto Macron because he was seen to be “standing up” to Trump.

They hate Trump so much that they don’t even know the first thing about Macron’s policies with his own people. They’re lemmings…

Macron would have a better chance of standing up to a tornado…

He’s going to fold and do whatever Trump tells him to do. Why?

Because Trump just proposed introducing tariffs to $2.4 billion on French goods after Macron and cronies (Macronies?) added a new tax to global tech giants…

And if Macron wants to avoid even more embarrassment and ridicule from the people of his own country, he’ll do whatever Trump tells him to do.

Welcome to the NEW America, Manny…

Where we don’t bend over backward to be liked by you, Europe, or the rest of the world.

Just do as your told, Frenchy…

It’ll make it easier on both of us.
