Even under a Democrat presidency, Trump Derangement Syndrome is alive and well, and in the latest outbreak, the Biden administration is once again blaming its predecessor for problems created by their own progressive policies.

After acknowledging that the Biden Administration “certainly” has “a challenge at the border,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas accused the prior administration of creating the problem.

“We’re following an administration that frankly dismantled our capabilities to address it, and so we are building it from the ground up,” Mayorkas told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Monday. “We lost four years of investing in the countries from which these individuals are migrating. Our safe and orderly systems were torn down, so we’re rebuilding them. And our plan is in place, and we’re executing it.”

Mayorkas did not expand on exactly how the Trump administration “dismantled” their capabilities to address the border crisis, however.

In reality, it was the Biden Administration that dismantled Trump’s border policies which led to the crisis. But like any good Democrat, Mayorkas is playing the blame game, regardless of the reality of the matter.

Despite the DHS secretary’s claim that they indeed have a plan to address the migrant surge that is currently being executed, the numbers tell a far different story.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin revealed that DHS sources told the outlet that border patrol stations in McAllen, Texas are “currently 585 percent over capacity.”

Because they are so overwhelmed, law enforcement is simply releasing the illegal immigrants by the masses into the United States.

“NEW: Per DHS sources, local Border Patrol stations in McAllen area are currently 585% over capacity and there are ‘mass releases’ underway,” Melguin wrote. “@GriffJenkins reports there were more than 8,000 apprehensions in RGV over the weekend, and more than 3,000 in the last 24 hours. @FoxNews.”

A U.S. official reportedly told the Associated Press on Monday that the number of unaccompanied minors discovered by border patrol likely hit a record high in July.

Some officials are estimating that by the end of this border crisis, we will have allowed hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of undocumented migrants into the United States.

Yet, somehow, the Biden Administration is again blaming former President Donald Trump for a crisis that began on their watch because that’s what they campaigned on.

While Trump campaigned to continue “building the wall,” Biden campaigned on open borders—and it’s important to keep that record straight as the current administration attempts to rewrite history.
