Predictably, the Democrats are trying to delay the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett. They are conveniently using coronavirus as an excuse to delay the proceedings.
Do they think we were born yesterday? They just don’t want her being confirmed to the court, and that’s plain for all to see. The Senate has been functioning just fine throughout the pandemic. Several hearings have taken place with a combination of in-person and virtual appearances.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tweeted, “The Senate cannot proceed with business as usual as the virus continues to run rampant. If it’s too dangerous to have the Senate in session, it is too dangerous for the committee hearings on the Supreme Court to continue.”

He and fellow Senator Dianne Feinstein then wrote a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham: “It is premature for Chairman [Lindsey] Graham to commit to a hearing schedule when we do not know the full extent of potential exposure stemming from the president’s infection and before the White House puts in place a contact tracing plan to prevent further spread of the disease.”
They went on to write that “there is bipartisan agreement that a virtual confirmation hearing for a lifetime appointment to the federal bench is not an acceptable substitute.”
Yeah, we should really trust Dianne Feinstein, the same woman who railroaded Justice Brett Kavanaugh by bringing an unverified allegation of rape against Kavanaugh at the eleventh hour when he was about to be confirmed. I wouldn’t trust my kids (if I had any) with Chuck Schumer and Dianne Feinstein. They are the epitome of everything Americans detest about politicians.
Joe Biden’s running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, tweeted, “Moving forward with SCOTUS confirmation hearings in exactly one week threatens the health and safety of members, our staff, and the hardworking people who keep the Senate complex safe, clean, and operational. This is completely reckless. Chairman Graham must delay the hearings.”

Kamala Harris was another deplorable participant in the Brett Kavanaugh inquisition. She was rude, condescending, and a liar. Those are her trademarks, and they were all on full display during the Vice-Presidential Debate on Wednesday night.
If you thought the Kavanaugh hearings were dirty, wait until next week, because you ain’t seen nothing yet. The Democrats are going to pull out every dirty parlor trick they can play to thwart Barrett’s nomination.
They will claim that the hearing shouldn’t take place until after the election, even though their favorite justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg said the following: … “the President is elected for four years, not three. So the powers that he has in year three continues into year four… and that’s how it should be.”
Hey, if the Notorious RBG says it, it’s got be correct, right? That is what the Left would have us believe.
The Democrats will also likely attack Barrett’s Catholic faith…and we know this because they already have. Senator Feinstein already tipped her hand on how she would question Judge Barrett if she were nominated as well. Barrett came before the Senate Judiciary Committee for her hearing to be nominated to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in 2017, and Feinstein said: “I think in your case, professor … the dogma lives loudly within you, and that is of concern.”
The Republicans must hold the line and not give into the dirty Democrats. They better not turn squishy. This is far too important of an opportunity to miss. They can’t allow another Robert Bork situation to occur. They held the line in 2018 when they confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, and they must do it again. This might be their last best chance for quite some time to get an originalist on the court. They’d better not waste it.
