Georgia recently passed a voter integrity bill to protect the election process and ensure that it is done fairly.
But, of course, the Left is losing their ever-loving mind over the legislation, calling it “racist” and “Jim Crow 2.0.”
Of course, none of this is true, but the Left thinks that if they repeat a lie long enough, people will believe it.
And, sadly, they are succeeding so far.
Two of the largest employers in the Peach State, Coca-Cola and Delta Airlines, have both announced some form of boycott against the state.
The Atlanta-based companies have bought into the myth of voter suppression being perpetuated by the Left and failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
Delta, which originally supported the voter integrity bill, now opposes it after facing the wrath of the social justice mob.
CEO Ed Bastian made a cowardly and untrue statement about the legislation when he said:
“Last week, the Georgia legislature passed a sweeping voting reform act that could make it harder for many Georgians, particularly those in our Black and Brown communities, to exercise their right to vote,” Bastian claimed. “Since the bill’s inception, Delta joined other major Atlanta corporations to work closely with elected officials from both parties, to try and remove some of the most egregious measures from the bill. We had some success in eliminating the most suppressive tactics that some had proposed.”
“However, I need to make it crystal clear that the final bill is unacceptable and does not match Delta’s values,” he added.
The Left considers voter integrity laws meant to ensure our elections are fair, like the one just passed in Georgia, racist.
Being for simple things like voter I.D.—especially for absentee ballots—signature matching, narrow criteria for requesting mail-in ballots, keeping most voting to in-person on Election Day, and limiting the number of drop boxes in communities to prevent ballots from being tampered with without supervision makes the legislation racist.
To paraphrase Joe Bide: What a bunch of malarky.
Jim Crow literally kept black people from voting and kept them segregated from white people.
None of what was passed in the Georgia bill does anything even remotely like what Jim Crow laws did.
The Left are so self-unaware that they don’t realize that if anyone is being racist, it is them.
Do they think black people are too stupid to obtain a voter ID?
Do they think black people are too stupid to vote on their own without help from their churches, which is why they claim that Sunday voting must remain?
Do they think black people are incapable of getting themselves to the polls? Do they think that no black people own cars or no people that do and can ask for a ride?
Do they think black people are too stupid to apply for an absentee ballot if they have a reason that they can’t vote on election day?
Tell me, who sounds racist: Georgia Republicans who passed the voter integrity laws, or the Left?
Unlike the Leftists that call conservatives racist, I am not actually going to call them racist. I am just playing by their standards. Read those statements above over again and tell me that those don’t sound insulting to black people.
It’s going to be hard to come to a different conclusion.
Coke and Delta are cowardly corporations that are afraid of being boycotted.
Sometimes in life it is important to take a stand for what is right.
Coke and Delta are cowering in fear of being stoned by the mob.
True leaders don’t fold in the face of public pressure. Those like Delta and Coke do.
