On the heels of Trump’s monumental decision to label Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terror organization, Iran’s parliament opened their session with “Death to America” chants. Is it time to finally put this country in their place?

Does Iran not realize how small of a country they are?

We get it — you’re a proud people — but it’s either time they voluntarily step into the 21st century or maybe America will have to drag them into it kicking and screaming.

Many of their customs are steeped in tradition…

And while there is nothing wrong with tradition, the fact that they allow themselves and even more — their foreign policy — to be steered by a religion that advocates violence, should prove that they don’t deserve a spot on the world stage.

Islam may have started out as a religion of peace, but much of their holy book was written after their prophet Mohammed morphed into a warlord that would convert at the end of the sword — rather than through love.

The advocating of violence toward anything that doesn’t fall under their own strict ethos is frightening, which is what makes a state-sponsored military faction like the IRGC so dangerous…

They are given permission from their government and their god to kill simply because somebody thinks and believes differently than they do.

The Truth Hurts

Did Trump really have a choice in labeling them a terrorist organization?

In a statement after the announcement, Trump went in hard on Iran:

This designation will be the first time that the United States has ever named a part of another government as a FTO (Foreign Terrorist Organization). It underscores the fact that Iran’s actions are fundamentally different from those of other governments. This action will significantly expand the scope and scale of our maximum pressure on the Iranian regime. It makes crystal clear the risks of conducting business with, or providing support to, the IRGC. If you are doing business with the IRGC, you will be bankrolling terrorism.

But he didn’t stop there…

Trump continued, “This action sends a clear message to Tehran that its support for terrorism has serious consequences. We will continue to increase financial pressure and raise the costs on the

Iranian regime for its support of terrorist activity until it abandons its malign and outlaw behavior.”

As you would guess…

This didn’t sit well with Iran’s lawmakers.

“I Know You Are but What Am I?”

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council decided what was good for the goose was good for the gander. And in a retaliatory move, declared the U.S. armed forces “terrorists” and labeled the U.S. in general a “supporter of terrorism.”

On the playground, this is called “tit for tat…”

Because make no mistake, that’s exactly what this was. It was nothing more than Iran trying to save face to the rest of the world with a childish retort, basically saying, “I know you are but what am I”?

To make matters worse, Iran’s lawmakers chanted “death to America,” while they held their parliament session.

Could you image Congress doing this?

If that wasn’t enough, Parliament spokesman, Keivan Khosravi, said that going forward, “Any unusual move by American forces in the region will be perceived as the behavior by a terrorist group.”

Their state-run newspapers are running on the war rhetoric being spouted by their lawmakers, with one publication saying the declaration gave Iranians “permission” to kill American military personnel.

This won’t work out well for Iran…

If they don’t watch their step, they may be in for a rough time.

Somebody may want to remind them that Obama ISN’T the president anymore…

There’s somebody with cajones in the Oval Office, and he doesn’t take kindly to threats.
